Customising Your Web Page You can customise all of the elements of the web page by adding your own text, changing styles, colours, type font and sizes. We shall show you how to change your headings, buttons & background:
Headings: You can customize the heading of your page changing the style, the text, the size and the colours. Click on the Heading and then Click on Change Style then Heading, which will present you with a wide range of graphic headings. Select the heading of your choice and it will now replace the original graphic. Now select the ‘Show me’ option to see your graphic. Click ‘Accept’ if you are happy with your heading.
Navigation Buttons To customise your buttons click on Button style. For a good effect notice that you can add a little depth with a wall or floor shadow. Enter the text that you want on each of the buttons, then click ok to confirm the changes. We will not link these buttons to the pages yet, as this is much simpler and easier to do after all of your pages have been created. Click ‘Make Graphic’ if you wish to see it first and ‘Accept’ when you are happy with it. (Remember that you will need a button on each page to link back to your home page so that visitors to your web site can get back to where they started).
Background Click on texture to change the page background. Click Background Textures to choose from the ready-made range. Click Show Me to see the change. You can also change the colour, if you wish.
Inserting Your Photo Gallery From the Page Editor drop-down menu, select Gallery. On the next screen you can choose the gallery you wish to place on your page from a drop down menu that shows the gallery folders in your FileStore. Click on the Gallery you wish to use and click OK. ZyWeb then imports the pictures you've previously uploaded to your galley folder. These will be in a thumbnail format automatically linked to the larger image.
Entering Your Text Now you can insert your text, in the paragraphs and the captions below the photos. Click on the text you wish to edit, and then in the Editor box, delete any unwanted text and then type in your new text. Alternatively, type it in a text editor beforehand and copy it in. Our Rich Text Editor allows you to format the text fonts, colours and size.
Saving Your Web Page When you have finished editing your page, click Finish. Name the page and then select Save. If this is to be the 1st page you want visitors to see, then it should be named ’home’. You could publish your page here so that it is visible on the web but we suggest that you finish creating and linking your pages before you’re ready to publish the site. Return to the FileStore by clicking on the button.
