With ZyWeb you can create effective photo galleries in minutes, it’s so simple to use and requires no technical skills whatsoever. ZyWeb also provides you with the complete set of online tools that enable you to build and manage your entire web site, so not only will you be publishing your photo albums but you will also have the complete web site to support them.
Getting Started
Visit ZyWeb’s home page at www.zyweb.com. Choose from our subscription packages available by clicking either the “Try Now” or “Buy Now” buttons located on screen. Enter your details and choose a User name – which will form part of your website address e.g. www.zyworld.com/yourname. It is best not to have any spaces in the Username.
FileStore
After the Noticeboard screen, which informs you of the latest ZyWeb information, you will pass into your FileStore where all your ZyWeb pages and photos are kept.
You can also store photos, clipart or graphics here ready for use in your pages. Each time you create a page it will be stored here.

Creating your Photo Gallery
Firstly you need to create a Gallery Folder to store your pictures in. From your FileStore select Gallery from the Create a new… Panel. Enter a name for your new gallery in the box provided.
Now pick suitable sizes for the thumbnails and the larger pictures in the gallery. Recommended sizes are: 'small' for a four-across grid, 'medium' for a three-across and 'large' for a two-across grid. Click on Create to create a new Gallery Folder in your FileStore.
Now, from the FileStore, click on the icon for the gallery folder. You will then be in your special Gallery Folder you've created, ready to receive your gallery pictures. To upload your pictures to this folder, from the left hand Actions panel, select “upload” and follow the prompts. Ideally, each of your individual pictures should be no bigger than 90KB; if you are copying them from a digital camera you should resize them beforehand not to be any bigger than 640x480 pixels.
Your photos will appear on your web page in alpha-numerical order of the filename so, if you want your photos to appear in a specific order, you can name them appropriately.
Creating Your Web Page
You are now ready to create your web page that will incorporate your photo gallery with thumbnail photo images that link out to a larger picture image.
To do this, select Web Page from the Create A New… panel and select a page style – remember that you can customize all the elements of the style later. Then select a suitable gallery style template from the range available.
