The Younger Generation was set us in 1989 to give young people the opportunity the chance to appear on the stage in a proffessional environment.

The show is a team effort, there are NO INDIVIDUAL STARS. All of our cast are "STARS", which in why in our programme we always list the cast in alphabetical order and in the Finale of the show they are all dressed the same.

Some of our cast members have appeared at the London Palladium.

In 1990 Younger Generation had the honour to be asked to take part in the Queen Mother's 90th Birthday parade in London. She is the president of N.O.D.A. (National Operatic and Drama Assoc.)of which we are a member. In 2001 we were also asked to be in her 100 Birthday Parade in London.
 
In 2008 the group received Noda's Flame Award for the London Region for "Outstanding training for young people in the fields of music and dance"

The Group writes it's own shows and makes all of the scenery except for the large cloths that we have to hire.

We like to have about 100 young people aged 9 to 18 in our shows.

 We try to give each cast member an equal amount of items to appear in. We know that some of our cast are not "Brilliant" but we do not aim for perfection like stage schools. Our aim is to let anyone that want to have a go at being on the stage that chance. It does not matter if they are fat,thin,tall,short or even if they come from Mars. If they have they energy and are prepared to work with us we will help them.
