Founded in 1951, The Country Lawn Tennis Club has always offered a first-class service and amenities to its members and is without doubt one of the best tennis clubs in the UK.
It hosts Club tournaments and matches throughout the year. Established in beautiful grounds with a friendly atmosphere, the Club has 18 tennis courts and 2 squash courts, allowing activity for both sporting and social events all year round. Six floodlit courts permit year-round play and the three grass courts provide a surface to Wimbledon standard in the summer. The spacious clubhouse has a fully stocked bar and offers a superb view over the show-courts. Regular coaching sessions are held throughout the year for juniors and adults and dedicated professional tennis coaches are always available for individual tuition. A well-established team of professional staff ensures that the Club and grounds are kept to a superb standard. A full and varied programme of social events takes place throughout the year and Club facilities may be hired for both corporate hospitality and private functions. We currently have over 850 members, of which approximately 425 are Juniors (up to 18 yrs). The club is regarded as being very friendly and sociable and play a range of tennis from social tournaments through to area competitions. |
