We left England on a ferry at the start of July 2003, planning to travel overland to Cape Town. However, instead of turning right in Turkey, we went straight on and a year and a half later we had reached Singapore overland instead. Failing to find a bargain boat across the Pacific we hopped on a bargain plane to Los Angeles (one way, complicated). Route 66 took us to Chicago where we continued snow bound through Canada to New York. Then, as if we had left yesterday, we were heading back to England, circumnavigation complete.
