Welcome to the English Karate Referees Department

Referees, Judges and Table Assistants are essential for the smooth running of competitions. They are often overworked and undervalued. Without them there would be no sport Karate.

The English Karate Referees Department is dedicated to the Training and Development of Association, National, International and future Karate Referees, Judges and Table Assistants throughout England whose Associations adhere to the statutes of the World Karate
Federation.

Training Courses and Assessments are only open to officials already licensed through their
own Association, who are in membership of the WKF recognised National Governing Body.
