Dear Friends Rotary youth section need support can you help please. Our RYLA committee have come up with a project by Jin Craig to raise money for the youth sections in our area. This would be used to fund the Primary School Quiz, Enterprise challenge, Kids Out and RYLA. It is an imaginary walk from Aberdeen to Braemar and back round trip of one hundred miles. This will be achieved at your own pace measured by a pedometer measuring each step you take. Simply clip it on each day and carry out you usual routine, this will add up your steps converting them to miles. Your only catch is to be sponsored at a pound per mile. Every mile walked pop a pound into your collection box till you reach one hundred. Take as long as you require there is no dead line no walking on dangerous roads or forcing one self to do more than you can per day. If you are a golfer this will soon add up ask your fellow golfers to sponsor you for the round. Shopping ladies don't feel guilty you are doing it for charity, a pence per step. Sponsors will only need to say sponsors you for five miles or ten miles. Add you sponsors up till they reach one hundred easy. The pedometer can be obtained from Boots ASDA Sainsburys Argos local chemist. Good walking Ken, Contact K. Eddie Aberdeen St Nicholas Rotary Club. E-Mail st_nicholas@zyworld.com
