| Interact is a Rotary sponsored youth section. As we, all know the young people have a hard time meeting and enjoying them selves with the constant changes in there lives through cost cutting exercises by Government local authorities striving to meet budget cut backs. What is our commitment that of a guiding person letting the club be formed run and governed by the club members for there self development, and leadership qualities. Like all organisations, the leader soon show up and their pears soon elect a committee to prepare program of events to suit their needs in that area. Rotary commitment is to fund the setting up of the club and cover initial expenses; you will find they soon want to prove they can manage the expense account better that we can. As a guide a kitty of one hundred pounds will be more that enough. From our experience the mix of social and fund raising events will dominate. Once a foundation of cash has been achieved usually by Disco type events Barn dances and fun days. The entrepreneurial skills soon become known; one has to some time curd there over enthusiasm |

A general meeting will take the form of the President and committee conducting the meeting not UN like Rotary but in a lighter fashion. As the age group is in the fifteen to eighteen bracket the knowledge of chairing and running meeting known from those that take part in public speaking and school councils.
We the Rotarian's are there usually a the back of the room and listen and offer advise if asked or at an appropriate time to voice ones opinion.
As the term progresses (note it will follow the school year) eight week stints.
Your committee will have to have at least one person per meeting. Now with the laws on child supervision preferably male female team cover all eventualities.
Discipline you will find handled by the oldest group and the rest will obey. Girls tend to be the leaders at this age and carry out there duties to perfection, well-kept minutes and bookkeeping. They will then start to think of project to fund from their activities and are very aware of local situations with overseas projects a close second. When dealing with overseas project the guidance of using a Rotary Club in that country to assist in the disbursement of funds correctly.
