President

President Jim reported on the following.

  • District Conference ; delegates from St Nicholas were the President Jim and Jean Couper, Secretary Ian, Treasurer Alex and Mary, Ken Eddie, Ron and Ann McKail. A varied number of interesting speakers on different aspects of "Conservation", made for a worthwhile and stimulating conference. A more detailed account will be in the next issue of Rotary 1010.
  • Speakers ; In the last month we have heard Sarah Farquhar of Inspire, Mary Rasmussen on Guide Dogs with Campbell who although speechless, stole the show.  In addition we had an evening with our GSE team and leader Ian , making us all wish we had been young enough to join them on their visit to Rhode Island.

Administration

Nothing new to report

Membership

We have had visits to the club from two of the prospective new members and it was stressed that we now need to move the next stage towards induction on 21st November. Visits to each of the

The new members to take place prior to that so that forms can be signed.  It was also proposed that we organise another open evening.
