Rohtas Fort, Jhelum


Rohtas Fort is located off the GT Road at Dina, just north of Jhelum. The Fort was built in 1543 by the Pathan ruler Sher Shah Suri, who expelled the Mughals from the subcontinent. The photographs here show the main features of the Fort: gates, defensive walls, royal mosque, Haveli Maan Singh and Rani Mahal. Click a thumbnail for enlargement / complete photograph.
