Maqbara Hakiman, Hasan Adbal

Mughal funerary architecture in Hasan Abdal, Pakistan. This tomb and the garden behind it are located near the Panja Sahib Gurudwara. All photographs by Ihsan Aslam.

		This tomb and the tank in front of it were built around 1589 by the Mughal governor of Punjab, Khawaja Shamsuddin Khwani. He built it for himself, but Emperor Mughal later ordered its use for Hakim (doctor) Abdul Fateh Gilani and his brother Hakim Humayun (both died in 1599).
