These pages will help you to plan your preparation for your Science GCSEs.
The 2002 GCSE Exam is slightly different from the 2003 exam.
2002 GCSE Exam - Coursework makes up 25% of the grade and the modular exams make up another 25%.
2003 Exam - is a NEW exam, the coursework is the same but it only makes up 20% of the exam.
If you are taking DOUBLE SCIENCE, your first GCSE exams will be in NOVEMBER. You will sit 2 exams in November and another 4 in MARCH.
If you are taking Single Science, you will sit 1 exam in the NOVEMBER, and 1 more in MARCH.

If you are taking Single Science, you will sit 2 exams in the January, 2 more in June and the last 2 in the following January.

TARGETS
In your end of module exams, you should aim for at least:
20 for a C grade
25 for a B grade
30 for an A grade
35 for an A* grade.
You MUST produce 3 pieces of coursework, one from each of Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Your first piece should score at least 45 marks, your second and third should score at least 50 marks. When all the marks are put together you should aim for at least 55 marks.
Remember your spelling, punctuation and grammar will get you an extra 3 marks. Word process your coursework and use a spell check if you can!
