Welcome! The London Old Tablers' Society meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 6:30pm for 7:00pm, at The New Cavendish Club, 44-48 Great Cumberland Place, London W1H 7BS (near Marble Arch). We extend a warm welcome to visitors. Please book in through our Secretary, by clicking here or our Chairman by clicking here.

In addition to our regular monthly meetings we try to hold a social evening each month. This can take any form and be at any time during the month. It is usually organised by a different member each time. Click here to see our Diary, or click here to see our Gallery. Looking for photos of an Anniversary Lunch for the 65th Anniversary of the Association of Ex-Round Tablers' Clubs ("41 Club")? Then click here. Below is a slide show of some of the photos taken at our May 2010 Meeting when we were visited by the new National President, Malcolm "Cocky" Lockey. LOTS Chairman Ron Hotchkiss was in the chair. During the meeting Malcolm inducted our (then) newest member, Dominic Price. Indeed it was a case of Ron Dom's rather than Non-Dom's that evening. With LOTS Secretary Don Mullane present too, it could even have been a rum to do Dom Ron Don <Groan> :)
Photo's of the Chairman's At Home 2011 have been added to the Gallery here.
Below are photos from the 2011 Ladies Evening.
Below is a slide show of some of the photos taken at our 70th Anniversary Dinner on Tuesday 8th December 2009.

Christmasses may come and go, but our Elves can go on dancing forever (Worth watching even though Christmas may be long gone.)
A Brief History of LOTS The London Old Tablers' Society was formed in April 1939, as the first ex-Tablers Club, not knowing that there was already a thriving club in Liverpool (hence LOTS was actually the second). John Shuter was the founder of LOTS and was Chairman from 1943 -45.
In 1945 Wakefield 41 Club (formed in 1943) called a conference of all ex-Tablers' clubs; Wakefield, Liverpool (formed in 1936), LOTS and Lytham St. Annes 41 Club (formed in 1941) attended, and among the resolutions was the proposal to form a national association of ex-Tablers' Clubs. The Liverpool delegates had no power to vote, however, and in any case Liverpool's members were known to be against a National Association. The other three clubs formed one, with John Shuter of LOTS as its first President - a post he held for two years. Over the years 4 members of LOTS have served as National President; John Shuter 1945-47, David Morrison 1967-68, William (Jack) Newey 1972-73, and Arthur Kennedy OBE 1981-82
