Welcome !
And thanks for considering Fred & Linda to be your wedding photographers.

Because they take such great pride in their photography, the vast majority of their business comes from previous clients and client referrals, which they feel is the best kind of advertising available.

Fred has photographed hundreds of weddings all around the metroplex and the state for over thirty years. What started out as a hobby evolved first into a part-time business, which continued to grow into a full time profession. As with all good photographers, they know they will never reach their maximum creative potential, but try to make each wedding better than the one before.

Qualifications / Experience

Fred has had a keen interest in photography since childhood starting with his parents' Kodak Brownie Hawkeye which he still has as a keepsake, and upon taking a photography course while in college at Baylor, that interest turned into a love for photography which continues to this day.

In 1970, he studied with the late Bill Stockwell who was unquestionably the premier wedding photographer of his time, revolutionizing the industry with his "mistys" and creative double exposures which became the rave of the 70's.

Since that time, Fred has attended numerous other schools, conventions, and seminars, including many national conventions of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), and the Texas School of Professional Photography sponsored by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and was certified by
PPA in 1999.

For the past several years, Linda has attended these schools, conventions, and seminars along with Fred and together they have studied with many of the nation's top photographers including the premier wedding photographer of recent time - Monte Zucker, and style much of their work in his tradition.

Photography Style

Creative portraiture is blended with the never-out-of-style traditional and the current wave photojournalistic coverage to create a beautiful mixture of sentimental images to cherish for a lifetime, along with all the images you would expect from the traditional happenings at your wedding.

Linda carefully watches for the little things that make your wedding unique while Fred captures the splendor of your day. Linda's vision at your wedding is to capture on film the small vignettes and special touches which traditional photography might overlook. Just think about how much time you will spend selecting things like your shoes, or that special jewelry, the flowers, or your grandmother's antique hanky. She photographs in what they call a "storytelling" style.........not the posed type photographs, but the little things that add to the intimate story of your wedding.

Because of today's improved film and lab technology, all images are created in color giving you the choice of whether to have any image in color, black & white, or sepia (brown).  This is a great advantage to you because you can make your own choices rather than leaving it up to the photographer's discretion.

As a team, Fred & Linda will not only record your special family relationships but also the little touches that make your wedding unlike any other and so special to you.

New and incredible! This "Storyteller" Wedding Book or "White Glove" Wedding Book is totally different from the conventional album. It is custom designed and handcrafted for the discriminating bride and groom who desires something unlike any of their friends have. This coffee-table style book is the product of state-of-the-art direct digital printing combined with classic bookmaking and is unparalleled in its ability to showcase your wedding story.

The Storyteller plan includes up to 7 hours continuous wedding day coverage beginning an hour and a half prior to the ceremony. Additional time is $200 per hour. With this plan, you get all the images excluding duplicates, 4x5 size in a presentation album, plus the Storyteller or White Glove Book with your selected 100 favorites.

Why All-Inclusive?
Over the years, Fred & Linda have tried practically all the pricing variations used by other studios and have found the "All-Inclusive" plan to be by far the simplest and most popular with their clients. So popular in fact, that they discontinued the other ways of pricing such as ala carte and packages.

Here are some of the reasons why "All-Inclusive" is so popular:

  • It is simple and easy to understand. You don't have to be Einstein to understand this pricing structure and know what you are getting for your money. Unfortunately, many photographers' pricing plans are deliberately vague and confusing as you probably already know.
  • You will know right up front truly what your wedding day photography will cost and can budget for it. Because you get all the photographs, you won't be faced with the nerve-wracking task of trying to decide which photographs to leave behind in order to narrow your number of photographs down to your commitment! From experience, they can assure you that you will want all or practically all of the photographs and with the ordinary way of pricing, the add-ons above your commitment are sometimes cost-prohibitive after your wedding when you more than likely have already exceeded your budget.
  • You get your completed album much sooner. After you select your 100 favorite images, all you will need to do is stop by the studio and leave all your photographs with Linda so that she can design your album. Then within another four to six weeks, sometimes sooner depending on the lab's schedule, you will have your beautiful completed album!

YOUR WEDDING ONLINE & VIEWING CD's
How many of your friends will get to see your wedding album? The sad fact is most of them will never get to see it! With internet being so commonplace nowadays, your wedding online is the perfect option. Your entire wedding can be online for 60 days for a very modest $75.00. Your friends and family will love the idea......plus if they would like to order any photos for themselves, they can do so online without depending on you to do it for them, a great convenience for you!

To make it more convenient for your guests, we will give them a card detailing the instructions for how to view your wedding.  It can be password protected if you prefer, but most couples leave it open making it easier for the viewers.

And as an added convenience for you, we will provide you with up to 10 self-starting CD's containing all your wedding images to give to friends and family members who may not be comfortable with internet.  These CD's are for viewing and ordering only and will expire in 60 days like your images online.

Optional:  - Your images online can be extended for another 60 days for $25.00.
               - Additional CD's of your wedding are available for $7.50 or 2 for $10.00.
               - Permanent, non-expiring CD's available for $25.00 each.

WEDDING INVITATIONS
When you choose us for your photography, we can help you with your invitations.  We offer photo invitations from Style-Art which are priced surprisingly comparable to traditional type invitations.

Miscellaneous Information

PHOTOGRAPHY TIME SCHEDULE
To help us create your storybook of images in a smooth and professional style, it is extremely important that all your wedding party and your immediate family members be at the church or facility dressed and ready for photographs by the time photography is scheduled to begin. We will have a "Photography Time Schedule" prepared for each person who will be included in your photographs so that everyone will know when they will be needed. IMPORTANT: Be sure your florist knows to deliver your flowers prior to the scheduled starting time for photography, and arrange for someone to pin on the bouteniers.

FINAL CONSULTATION
Approximately two weeks prior to your wedding, we will meet with you to get updated details of your wedding plans, and names and relationship of family members and friends you have invited to be a part of your special day. This information will enable us to cover your wedding in a much more relaxed and personal manner.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE
A $500 retainer reserves your wedding date. Most folks find it easier on their budget to make periodic payments to reduce the amount due as the wedding date nears. It's up to you, but keep in mind that any remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding.

For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards.

Because we are always booked far in advance, your date is reserved especially for you and we will likely have to turn away other couples asking for your date. Therefore; we are sure you realize that the initial retainer is non-refundable if your wedding is cancelled for any reason, or if the date is changed to a date on which we are already booked.

OTHER CAMERAS
We know some of your friends and relatives will want to take a few snapshots alongside us, but for your benefit we sincerely request your cooperation in asking everyone to allow us to do the job you are paying us to do and wait until the reception to take their pictures. Please remember that we must work fast in order to create all the beautiful images you will want and expect, and the time alotted to us simply will not permit holding the poses for guests to "shoot". This only slows the process, and we don't want to keep your other guests waiting any longer than necessary.

VIDEOGRAPHERS
You will very likely have someone videotaping your wedding and reception. We have no problem working with videographers, but because the work of a still photographer is much more critical and demanding than that of a videographer, and because undesirable footage in a video can be edited out, it is important that we be designated as the primary photographer so as to preclude any possible misunderstandings. We have never had a problem with a professional videographer and they understand the importance of mutual cooperation. However, we have seen less-than-professionals do some less-than-professional things like moving their tripod to the center of the aisle in front of us when the ceremony started and others who clung so close to the bride and groom during the reception that we were literally forced to ask them to step back so we could get the shots we were expected to get.

ARTWORK
Every precaution is taken to avoid eyeglass glare and closed eyes and we seldom have a problem with either. However, should there be any photographs on which you desire corrective artwork, we will be happy to have it done for you at the lab's actual charge which in most instances is modest and reasonable.

RUSH SERVICE
Our lab is not a high-volume fast turnaround lab, but rather a low-volume custom facility producing the finest photographs available. Should your time frame require faster service than the schedules we previously listed in this information, the lab may impose a rush charge upon us which we will pass on to you at cost.

A Few Things to Consider......

Our approach toward your wedding is a very personal one. We will be getting to know you and your fiance very well, making notes of what your wedding will be like, what type of photographs you like and dislike, what your parents like, etc.

Unlike most other photographers, we like to attend your rehearsal when possible. There are many reasons for doing this. Three of the primary reasons are:

  • To get acquainted with family members on both sides as well as your attendants. This makes for a much more relaxed atmosphere for everyone who will be a part of your formal photographs at the wedding.
  • To enable us to do a preliminary "site-survey" if we have not worked in your church or facility before. Thus we will know what areas will be best for the many different types of photographs we will have planned for your wedding.
  • To allow us to get acquainted with your minister or officiant (and coordinator if there is one). Because we see so many different officiant's views toward photographs and photographers, we make sure we will have a great working relationship with him/her on your big day. Some of the stories officiants tell us about their unpleasant experiences with other photographers explain why some of them have rather strict policies. This is a complimentary, no-charge service we include. Should you want us to attend your rehearsal dinner, we will photograph your fun time also complimentary, but you must let us know at the time you book us so that we don't make other plans for that night. We get a lot of fun, sentimental photographs at the rehearsal dinner because those in attendance obviously are your closest friends and relatives. And.....everyone is relaxed and having fun! (Note: when photographers cover events where food is served, it is customary to permit them to casually eat while covering the event.)

We have a lot invested in professional equipment and most of it has a specific purpose but more importantly, each item serves as a backup in the unlikely event of a mechanical problem. We also invest a lot of both time and money in continuous training. Even the nation's foremost wedding photographers are quick to say that even they are always learning from other photographers.

Working together as a team, we offer you the best in photographic coverage resulting in a super combination of spontaneous story telling images and portrait style photographs centered around you and your families. With everyone dressed in their "Sunday best", it is a perfect time for family photographs. We frequently use double lighting and backlighting to give us crisper candids with more depth, and more of a studio effect in portraits.

We hope you choose us but if you don't, be sure and do yourselves a favor and choose a professional!  We have talked to 3 different brides this year who were in a bind because in each instance a well meaning friend was going to do their photography as a wedding gift, but in each case had something come up at the last minute and could not come to their wedding. Sure, saving some money sounds good but think of the possible consequences!

Thanks !..........from Fred & Linda
