I was wondering if there was some special program or if there was something i missed in the editor for writing books and putting them in the game. - unmodest_mouse
===================================================
I think the easiest way is to open an existing book under the BOOKS tab and then change the item name and write what you want using the correct setup as it is already laid out. Otherwise you have to create it from scratch in the BOOK tab.
---------------------------------------------
I usually write my books in Word, and then transfer them to the CS. You have to do a bit of formatting once it's in the CS (mainly putting breaks between paragraphs by using ), but that doesn't take too long.

Bookgen
-----------------------------------------------
Bookgen. Don't leave home without it. Absolutely the dogs bits when it comes to creating books for morrowind. One of the tools that makes my life so much easier.
Write the book - convert to html - export to esp. Easy
--------------------------------------------
1. Open CS
2. Click on books tab
3. Select a book - preferably a book you like the look of. Remember that scrolls and pieces of paper are also listed as books so read the Name as well as the ID of the book to make sure it's what you want.
3. Double-click to bring up the detailed info of your chosen book.
4. In the ID bit, type your initials and the name e.g. dm_newbook1
4. In the Name bit, type its name e.g. Danmab's Book of Spells
5. Where the text is, if you're not 100% au fait with HTML, scroll past the settings instructions (font=Magic Cards, size=3 align=left etc) and go to the first word of actual text you find, which is usually the title of the existing book. Change it to the title of your book - e.g. change THE REAL BARENZIAH to DANMAB'S BOOK OF SPELLS. Leave in the align=left setting that follows it or all your text will be centre-aligned.
6. Delete all of the rest of the existing text i.e. everything from that point on, and write the text that you want to write.
7. Remember to put (br) every time you want a paragraph line break
like
this
because the CS doesn't seem to recognise the carriage return (RTN) key as a paragraph spacer. In other words(br)
(br)
if(br)
(br)
you want your paragraphs to(br)
(br)
have spaces between them, you have to tell the CS to do so.
8. Remember to put a couple of (br) in at the very end otherwise for reasons known only to itself the CS will chop off the last paragraph of your sentence.
9. When you have finished, or at any point that you want to save your work, click on the save button on the book pop-up.
10. WHEN THE CS ASKS IF YOU WANT TO SAVE AS A NEW OBJECT, SAY 'YES'.
Hope this helps
