Your child is naturally joyful. Your child is naturally tuned in to Source Energy. And as he is diving through and digging through contrast, it is natural that there would be some things that might disconnect him. Just don't let his disconnection then inflame your disconnection. Many parents have discovered that their children, for the most part, feel good when they do -- and the ornerier you are, usually the ornerier your children are. They are a strong reflection of the way you are feeling much of the time.

when a child lies to their parents, it's usually because they want to be free to do what they want to do, and they don't want their parents to be upset about it. It's about wanting an alignment. Physical ears have a hard time hearing this. You keep talking about "We need to be honest." And we say, we don't meet any of you who are honest. Even those who claim to be the most virtuous, are not honest, but your vibration always is. We would trust the feeling more than the words.

We come into an environment where we have parents that can provide a sense of stability. They are part of that platform. But we are born with an eagerness that keeps coming forth from within. The "generation gap" is sort of a built-in thing. We are miles, vibrationally, away from our parents. The children that are being born today are vibrationally at a place that most adults in your environment will never reach. You could be where your children are, vibrationally, if you were living in the "now". But most of you are not living in the "now". You are standing in your "now" dragging in all of this stuff that you remember from before. And so, your "now" is clouded with all of this from before, which keeps your vibration from being anywhere near where the child's vibration is on the day it is born.

Our idea of an ideal parent is one that gives birth and gets out of the way. Because the sooner parental influences are not a strong factor, the sooner you will find your relationship with your own central Guidance.

You are really individual beings, with very special talents, and it would be nice if teachers had the time, or parents had the awareness or skill, to see the children as the very individual, very special beings that they are. So that rather than trying to drum them into one category, they are, instead, appreciating the special insight that each child brings to the sea of diversity and contrast which is the stuff that creation comes from.

You feel a loss of freedom because you've lived a life of loss of freedom. Almost every desire that you felt bubble within you was squelched almost in the moment that it began to bubble -- because someone else didn't agree with it or approve of it. We can see why there are those who would worry that Abraham's message would get out. Because it is truly a liberating message. It is truly a self-empowering message. What it says to you, and what it would say to your children or to any children, is: You have come forth intending to be eager, and you have, within you, guidance that will keep you in vibrational harmony with what you intended. And there are those who feel a need to control you because they are not sure that you would choose wisely. We are certain that you will.
G-11/6&7/99 CHILDREN cont Parents don't want their children to make the wrong decisions, so they don't allow them to make the decision. And then the child becomes dependent, and then the parent resents that, and it gets off into a blameful thing early on. If you are encouraging children to do all that they can do -- and not squelching the natural eagerness that is within them, so that they can shine and thrive and show you and themselves how good they are at adapting to physical experience -- then everyone wins.
Dallas, TX -- 3/13/99 Children coming forth today have a greater capacity to deal with the greater variety of information that is coming forward than you did. They deliberately are coming forth into this environment where there is more to contemplate. This generation gap that you are talking about, it has ever been thus. Each new generation, every new individual, that comes forth, is coming with you having prepared a different platform for them to proceed from. There is this thing that gets in the way of that that says, "I'm the parent. I got here first. I know more than you do." From the children's perspective, and from the purity of their Nonphysical Perspective, what they are saying is, "You're the parent. You got here first. You prepared a platform that I am leaping off from -- and my leap will be beyond anything that you have ever known."
San Rafael, CA -- 2/27/99 Relative to our children or any children with whom we would interact, our one dominant intention would be to give them a conscious understanding of how powerful and important and valuable and perfect they are. Every word that would come out of our mouths would be a word that would be offered with the desire to help this individual know that they are powerful. It would be a word of empowerment. We would set the Tone for upliftment and understand that everything will gravitate to that Tone if we would maintain it consistently.

they want. Don't spend any time saying, "They should choose differently
and they'd feel better." Instead say, "They're choosing whatever

There are endless paths that lead to Source. And it is the connection to Source that is ultimately sought after by all. Everyone wants to believe that they have found the path. And, oh, it is glorious when you find that which you believe is your path. That is alignment with Source Energy. But when you say, "I have found my path, and you over there on that other path, you're not on the path," in that moment of judgment, you're not on your path either. Compliment them on their choices. Never push against their path. Never put them in the position where they must defend their path by condemning yours. Instead, appreciate their path. Appreciate it as their method of connecting with Source Energy. And we promise you, there is not one method that is better than the other.

Don't worry about the 'subconscious' mind- if it's subconscious you're
not feeling emotion and if you're not feeling emotion, it's not
activated enough to matter a whit!
The subconscious mind does not matter.
It's the CONSCIOUS thoughts that activate your vibration...The mood that
you're feeling isn't coming in response to your subconscious thoughts,
it's coming in response to your CONSCIOUS THOUGHTS! Tend to your
conscious thoughts!

you EMOTION. That's like saying...' Oh man is this stove hot. It is so very painful

And we say-we wouldn't worry too much about the subconscious thoughts. There's smoke in the air! ( laughter) If we were standing in your physical shoes, we would do something that we can do something about.
We would deal with what is active, we would deal with what is in the moment, we
would respond to the guidance that you are getting right now!"

.. As you move through your experience, sometimes (when you were very young or... it could have happened yesterday) you were exposed to an experience - and we have to say Law of Attraction is part of what causes you to be exposed; you could not be exposed to anything that you were not a vibrational match to - but sometimes you were exposed to something that seemed small and insignificant, and as you gave it a good dose of attention and you began to reverberate within it, then LOA brought you more. So... you notice it, you offer a vibration about it, LOA matches your vibration, so now you notice it more. And as you notice it more, you offer even more vibration about it and LOA brings you even more to match it, and then you offer more vibration. And so what happens is you attract by virtue of your vibration, not knowing that you are doing it, and then you say, "See, that's why I believe this - there is evidence all around me to support it. There is fact" or "There is history" or "There is my own experience." And we say that is true, but every bit of fact or history or... experience is without exception coming in response to your vibrational offering. So you say, "Well, Abraham, this doesn't seem right. I come innocently into this environment and just because I observe stuff, it gets in my vibration and then I'm sort of stuck there forever more?" And we say you're stuck there forever more if you just observe and offer a vibration, but you are not stuck anywhere if you are being deliberate in your choice of thoughts. And if you care at all how you feel and are willing to let the only thing that matters be that it feels good while you're giving your attention to it, you can easily guide yourself from any place in a very short period of time just by diligently choosing the thought - *you* choosing the thought that *you* want to make active in your vibration. Now, why would you want to choose? Well, because it's your life. It's your connection. It's your moment. It's your moment of feeling good or bad. It's your moment of attraction. Your future experience is based upon it. In other words, everything that you are depends upon your allowing of your connection to Source or your disallowing of connection to Source. Everything that you are living - your vitality, your clarity, your health, your abundance, your relationships, your environment - everything about your life is about the way you manage this juncture between your Source you and the physically-conscious, physically-focused, human, powerful-creator you. There will be a time, not so far from now, that you will look back on this phase of your life and instead of condemning it or beating up on it... Instead of blaming or guilting, you will feel appreciation for it, because you will understand that a renewed desire for life was born out of this time period that will bring you to physical heights that you could not have achieved without the contrast that gave birth to this desire.

There is a big mix out there, and there's lots of different things going on, and there is not one way that was intended to be the right way. Just like there's not one color or one flower or one vegetable or one fingerprint. There is not one that is to be the right one over all others. The variety is what fosters the creativity. And so you say, "Okay, I accept that there's lots of variety, but I don't like to eat cucumbers." Don't eat cucumbers. But don't ask them to be eliminated and don't condemn those who eat them. Don't stand on corners waving signs trying to outlaw the things that you don't like. Don't ruin your life by pushing against. Instead, say, "I choose this instead. This does please me. It is not different from the buffet or the department store where you appreciate variety. You do not walk through the clothing department petitioning against those ugly clothes. You are satisfied and even comfortable in recognizing that someone else might choose them, while you might not. You do not feel that someone's going to knock you down and make you wear them anymore than someone would fill your plate and make you eat it. Although, that did happen to you. Maybe that's where your fear of contrast really began, with those bigger people, sure that they knew what's right, forcing you to accept their beliefs until you were big enough that you could at least run away.
