
You tend to think that your beliefs are rigid or unchanging. When what your belief is, is only a thought that you keep thinking. It's more like a habit of thought. Some of those habits of thought serve you really well. For example, if you have a habit of thought that goes something like, life is good, I am of value, I love my life, or this is a really good life... Then beliefs like that are so in sync with your Source Energy, that those beliefs don't hinder Source Energy at all. Some other beliefs are more hindering in nature. For example, if you think physical human bodies decline before they die... it doesn't serve you. Beliefs like that are extremely hindering in nature, because they are so vibrationally different from the Source Energy that knows you purely, that when you hold yourself in those kinds of thoughts, you are choosing vibrations that are so different that you are disallowing the Source Energy that the cells of your body are summoning. And when that happens, you feel negative emotion. When you are choosing, in this moment, to activate a belief that is serving you, that is allowing the Energy to flow, you feel invigoration, you feel eagerness, you feel passion, you feel love, you feel appreciation, you feel joy, you feel those good feelings. But when you are activating a belief that is not serving you well, you feel anger, you feel frustration, you feel fear, you feel defensiveness, you feel jealousy, you feel guilt, you feel frustration, you feel urgency... The degree to which you feel any of those feelings, good or bad, is the degree to which you are allowing or not allowing the Energy to flow. Abraham-Hicks Kona, HI -- G-12/9/00-A
Abe You have established rather definite, habitual patterns of thought relative to many subjects. And some of your habits of thought serve you very well, because they matche your now desire. But some do not serve you very well, because they do not match your desire: Your belief in illness, your belief in decline, your belief in aging, (in the way you mean it, not moving through time, but declining through time) those beliefs do not serve you well. Your belief in vulnerability, your belief in violence, your belief in bad things happening to good people--those beliefs do not serve you well. Your belief in cancer, in AIDS, your belief in getting run over by big things, your belief in falling out of the sky in airplanes -- they are all valid beliefs, but they do not serve you well. And so, what we're wanting to begin to help you do is to sort out your beliefs, but not in terms of their reality, because, in truth, everything is real. Is It a Limiting Belief? Do you know that the only thing that can ever hold you back is your own limiting beliefs? Now, what is a limiting belief? A limiting belief is a belief that contradicts your desire. That's it. Well, how did you get those beliefs? You just picked them up along your physical trail, and now you drag them everywhere you go. Do you do it deliberately? Do you say, "I think I will carry limiting beliefs around with me, to keep me from thriving, to keep me from being clear minded, to keep me from being safe, to keep me from being well, to keep me from being prosperous. I think I will just pick through the rubble of physical human experience, and I will just gather up a whole parcel of things that don't serve me well. And I'll carry them around and pass them on from generation to generation, and I'll make my life miserable with them and, hopefully, I'll pass them on to my children who will do the same."? It's not like that at all, is it? Not one of your limiting beliefs did you pick up deliberately intending to do yourself or someone else harm. You did not do any of this in a deliberate way, you did it in an indeliberate way, because you did not understand the power of your emotions. You can pretend anything that you want to pretend and in the time of pretending your body lines up. AS IF YOU ARE THAT!! You get a sense of what we are talking about?And as you spend a little bit of time showing yourself that mental image, the cells of your body are responding to the mental image. What happens is the now becomes less static. You open the door just a little bit for all the things that you’ve been asking for, to come in Everything is perceptual .W e have to tell you that if you perceive yourself in a body that does not please you there is not enough action in the world to change that. You can’t eat little enough, or walk hard enough, or exercise enough to change that. Because your body is responding to your mental imagry, not to the exterior stuff you see. …….if you were to stay on a pitch of excitement it would wear you out,and so many of you vacillate back and forth from positive and negative because you don’t want to be worn out. But we say you can vacillate in your range of positive energy from ecstasy to peacefulness, from exhilaration to joy, from out of your mind outrageous orgasmic enthusiasm for life, to subtle appreciation of life. But you never have to fall onto the negative side of the equation in order to find that balance you see. You can find perfect balance all within the positive range of things. Abraham-Hicks G 6.27.92

Abe Sometimes when you are in the midst of a situation,you struggle to find any positive aspects within it. (softly) We know that. Some things are intolerable,some things are so big and so bad that it does not seem possible for you to find anything positive within it. But that is because most of you are trying to decide what action to take that would correct it . Sometimes you are in a situation where there is not any action that seems appropriate and you feel pretty much in a corner. What we are wanting you to always remember is, that while there may not be a positive aspect to your action in this moment. While you may not be able to figure out what to do that would make you feel better, you always can figure out how it is you want to feel. In other words it is a matter of coming back, coming back,or another way of saying it would be……To draw inward,inward ,inward . If you were watching a gymnast on the balance beam and he is out of control. He has lost his balance, you would note that those who are really professional,do not try to somersault themselves back into balance. Instead they stop and regain their balance and then they proceed forward. By focussing on how you are wanting to feel. This is the way you regain your balance. And so friends,we acknowledge that very often the action what to do is not absolutely clear. We also acknowledge that you are not always clear even about what you are wanting to have. But it is our absolute knowing and our absolute promise to you, that you always know how you are wanting to feel!! You know you would rather feel happy than sad. Refreshed than tired. Invigorated rather than enervated. You know you would rather feel productive than unproductive. Free than confined. Flowing than stagnant. There is so much that you have lived in this life experience that has brought you to the place of knowing what you prefer. So what we are encouraging , with these processes that we are offering here,is that you do more assessing of how you are feeling .Then you do more deciding on how you are wanting to feel. And you use these processes to bring you to a more deliberate control of your own thought If you will bring yourself to a more deliberate control of your own thought you will bring yourself to a more deliberate control of your own life experience. We watch you in your physical action, and we see that many of you are very particular about the things that you do. You know the things that you prefer and you know the things you like to eat, and you know the things you like to wear. Yet many of you, while you are very picky about the things that you are doing are not at all particular about the things that you are thinking.
