Tekton Theatre was formed in order to develop a more focussed approach to performing music theatre work, following performances by Nicola Howard and Ian Shields in the Springtide Theatre  production of David Haines' "My Life as an Opera" in early 2007.

We feel that Tekton should be a group in which the members are more deeply committed to performance than one might expect in the average amateur theatre group. We hope through this approach to take music theatre to new audiences, both locally and further afield.
