This has to be the best all round swap for the capri.
Into a 2.8, it's so easy because you already have the fuel tank, engine mounts and gearbox.
Into OHC cars, Laser etc, it's a bit more work but worth every minute.
The 2.9 EFi is a simple reliable package which is so cheap, it would be rude not to.
To achieve a result like the picture below would cost about £600 and a few weekends work.
This engine came from a Sierra GLS 4x4
for some reason, 4x4 Sierra engines are a lot more spirited than Granada auto engines.
This one does 174 bhp at the wheels and cost £300
You can't do anything useful with a 2.8 for that.
