2.9 - 12V EFI

This has to be the best all round swap for the capri.
Into a 2.8, it's so easy because you already have the fuel tank, engine mounts and gearbox.
Into OHC cars, Laser etc, it's a bit more work but worth every minute.

The 2.9 EFi is a simple reliable package which is so cheap, it would be rude not to.
To achieve a result like the picture below would cost about Ł600 and a few weekends work.

This engine came from a Sierra GLS 4x4
for some reason, 4x4 Sierra engines are a lot more spirited than Granada auto engines.
This one does 174 bhp at the wheels and cost Ł300
You can't do anything useful with a 2.8 for that.


	We used this car as everyday transport for about 2 months untill it was sold.	This is how to fit a radiator that works

	The rad is Sierra DOHC or 4x4 with the DOHC fan set-up	There is nothing better - and we have tried a few possibilities

	The strut brace is something you need and the gas rams to lift the bonnet are a nice touch.	High rev performance of these engines is definitely improved by the extra large filter kit we designed.

	A factory finish is not hard to achieve.	This is something you will need to do unless you are happy moving the battery to the boot. Loads of wasted space under the wings so why not use it?
