Chris Green felt the full force of Calum Brierley's lunge in the 1st moments but the Clapton No 8 escaped with just a mild ticking off . An Escape for E's as Calum Brierley's header brushed Steve Wright's post from Dave Armstrong's cross on 4 mins. A shot by Brierley was blocked by Chris Green on 6 mins. A good chance for E's arrived on 2 mins as Remi Nelson's cross almost found Deniz Mehmet but he just couldn't stretch far enough to connect with the ball. The early scares woke E's up and we began to get in our stride and Sherwin Stanley played a ball through to Danny Jones but a good block denied his goalbound shot 15 mins. It took 10 mins for the first clear cut opportunity to arrive and from Lee Benmore's cross Deniz Mehmet flashes a shot across the Concord 6 yard box . Concord responded with their first attack resulting in them going ahead with Dan Trenkel's floated cross looking harmless enough but Shane Oakley from the edge of the box did brilliantly to cushion down the ball into his stride to wrongfoot E's defenders and stroke the ball home past Craig Walker on 11 mins. E's responded with some determination and after a spell of pressure Lee Benmore's freekick was partially cleared and Wes Borghys shot was blocked but fell to Dave Parkinson and his shot was also blocked but at the third attempt Sherwin Stanley hammered the ball past James Hussey to put E's level 1-1 20 mins. In the opening exchanges E's were on the offensive as Remi Nelson tee'd up Neil Hughes but he skied his shot over the top 2 mins. But MS&P hit back straight away with Steve Opoka's effort going miles wide , MS&P's Michael Marin let fly from outside the box but again it was miles wide 6 mins, Despite much territorial advantage the next opening for E's arrived on 15 mins as Adilson Lopes worked himself into a good position but his shot was a whisker over the top . A good ball by Jack Coomes split MS&P's defence as Neil Hughes was put away but Michael Marin hauled him back but Referee Mr Franklin only booked him even though he appeared to be the last man ??? 20 mins. A good run by Neil Hughes who beat his man well and a precise cross found Lee Benmore but his header rebounded back off the crossbar and then rebounded off Lee again and rolled behind 22 mins.Neil Hughes lets fly but MS&P keeper Blessing Kwambana was well behind it 25 mins. On 26 mins Lee Benmore got kicked in the face accidentally and had to leave the field with his mouth bleeding heavily ,After a long delay Danny Jones replaced him. Adilson Lopes was taken down just inside the box but Mr Franklin ignored E's penalty appeals 33 mins .Danny Jones does well to put Sherwin Stanley away but Blessing Kwambana read it well and was out quickly to clear . MS&P players surrounded Referee Mr Franklin and his assistant claiming offside but the goal stood. Ricardo Armado made himself a good opening but he scuffed his shot at the vital moment 40 mins , Adilson Lopes was hacked down by Chris Parillon and the MS&P defender was booked 41 mins.From Graeme Butler's stinging freekick Chris Parillon made a good block to deny him , Graeme Butler's corner found Jack Coomes but his clever flick went a whisker over the bar 43 mins. Although E's started the game on the offensive it was Hullbridge that created the first openings . On 3 minutes Liam Jones long throw found Dan Barrington's head but his header lacked direction and went wide . Another chance for Dan Barrington on 8 mins but this time he scuffed a tame shot at Steve Wright. A freekick from Sam Rodmell and a good header by Ryan Hodgson went narrowly off target on 10 mins. E's first clear cut opportunity came when Sherwin Stanley crossed a ball inch perfect for Chris Thomas but the E's No 10 headed a gilt edged chance over the top 12 mins. Paul Oshin is clattered by a loose elbow but again Mr Bond fails to spot any wrongdoing 72 mins. With E's still having mostly all the territorial possession Southend have their first shot at goal but Dave Flynn's shot is narrowly wide 79 mins. A 25 yarder by Aaron Baldin on 83 mins was even closer with Steve Wright well beaten but it went a whisker wide . E's started the match facing a stong wind but were very much on top from the off .
A brilliant 50 yard run by Deniz Mehmet in the opening moments ended when Apsa's Bilal Bapu made a good block to stop his shot . Sherwin Stanley works his way into a good position but he flashes his shot across the face of goal 17 mins. A minute later Lee Benmore tee's up Sherwin Stanley but he somehow put the ball a mile wide from 10 yards. Deniz Mehmet's cross finds Paul Oshin but Tejinder Randhawa made a good save to deny him 22 mins. But on 25 mins good work by Danny Jones and Paul Oshin sets up Sherwin Stanley who raced into the box to fire into the far corner past Tejinder Randhawa 1-0 E's . Mark Whittington was booked for dissent after outrageously being wrestled to the ground and Referee Mr Dorling amazingly awarded Apsa a corner ??? In the opening moments Jack Coomes slips a ball through to Danny Jones but he missed his kick . Chris Thomas gets into a good position but Danny Jones pass completely wrong foots him 2 mins. A nasty collision between Chris Thomas & Beaumont keeper Amando Hull had both of them needing lengthy treatment . And on 48 mins it was 3-0 to E's as Sean Clarke overhits a cross over the heads of Danny Jones and Chris Thomas but Beaumont No2 Litan Zaman's attempt to nod the ball back to Amando Hull resulted in the Beaumont keeper somehow allowing the ball to slip through his fingers and roll into the bottom corner,With the Beaumont defender expressing his displeasure in no uncertain terms.
A good chance for Danny Jones on 50 mins but he puts it wide .
