E's  without Kieron Woodward and Wes Borghys   were forced to play Jack Coomes  as a central defender  and recall Graeme Butler   with Shaun Clarke and Chris Green  still out  E's were down to the bare bones of the squad . 
 
An early scare for E's with Eton Manor pressing E's makeshift defence and they thought they were In front on 4 mins as Jerry Nkrumah headed home but he was flagged offside . E's wheathered the early Eton Manor raids  and with 8 mins gone started to get some momentum going with some  good work from Paul Oshin  setting  Deniz Mehmet away into the Eton Manor box  but he was clattered to the ground by Manor keeper Nick Wilson and Referee Mr Ramsey had little opton and gave the penalty . Brad Jones stepped forward and blasted it home with ease 1-0 E's.   It was Brad Jones again on 11 mins wriggling his way through but Nick Wilson saved his shot  well . Brad Jones sets one up for Deniz Mehmet but he puts it wide 13mins . A fine cross from Manor's Joe May looked to have picked out one of his team mates at the far post but Abul Hussain got his head to it first to divert the danger  wide 16mins.  Another fine cross from Joe May  took a deflection into Jerry Nkrumah's path  but Steve Wright made a quality save to thwart his header 17mins . Joe May's corner picks out Jerry Nkrumah but he is wide of the target 19mins. A good chance for E's falls to Adilson Lopes but he blazes it over the top  21mins.  Great work from Paul Oshin tee's up Deniz Mehmet but his shot crashes against the underside of the crossbar and is cleared 27mins .  Adilson Lopes wastes another chance by firing over the bar 29mins.  Eton Manor showed why they are in 5th place and were level  as Joe May's freekick  finds the alert  Jerry Nkrumah who volley's  past Steve Wright  1-1  32 mins .  E's were almost  back in front  straight from the kickoff with Brad Jones rounding Nick Wilson but a good block from Joe Nightingill diverts the ball behind . From the resulting  Lee Benmore corner  E's do go back in front with  the ball pinballing around the Eton Manor goalmouth with Adsilson Lopes ,Paul Oshin and Deniz Mehmet all having stabs at the ball and Brad Jones  then finds half a yard to turn the ball past Nick Wilson 2-1 E's 33mins.  Eton Manor then stunned E's with a Joe May cross finding Jerry Nkrumah who made no mistake 2-2 36mins  . E's were at sixes and sevens on 39mins as Joe May plays a neat one-two  with Jerry Nkrumah to wrongfoot E's defenders and shoot firmly past Steve Wright  to put Manor 3-2 up .  Deniz Mehmet gives Paul Oshin a chance to level but his shot is blocked 41mins. A big let off for E's as Eton Manor could have gone furthur ahead as Dean Frett is put clear but he lifts his shot a whisker over Steve Wright's crossbar 44mins. 2nd Half  (Lawrence Jones replaces Graeme Butler)  With E's now much more assertive Paul Oshin is taken down in the box by Joe Nightingill but "amazingly" Referee Mr Ramsey just gives a corner ???   Good work from Abul Hussain tee's up Jack Coomes but he pulls it wide 49mins . Abul Hussain's freekick  finds Deniz Mehmet but his header is easily held by Nick Wilson 50mins. (Eton Manor sub Tom Nyama on for Joe Nightingill 52mins)  Another let off for E's as Scott Lovett beats E's offside trap but his chip over  the onrushing Steve Wright lands on top of the crossbar and bounces over 54mins.  Brad Jones is booked for a foul 59mins. (Eton Manor sub Courtney Linton on for Scott Lovett and for E's Neil Hughes on for Adilson Lopes 61mins)  E's were level on 63 mins as Abul Hussain plays a fine ball across  the outside of the box and  Neil Hughes slammed an unstoppable shot past Nick Wilson 3-3 .  Steve Wright was called upon to save a shot from Dean Frett on 65mins .  With Neil Hughes now causing major problems for Manor's denfence E's took the lead  on 71 mins with Lee Benmore's corner  picking out  Elvis Balic who planted a powerful header past Nick Wilson 4-3 E's .  Moments later another Lee Benmore corner finds Paul Oshin but he heads it over the top .  Abul Hussain puts Neil Hughes in with a chance but he blasts it over 77mins.  A heartstopping moment for Steve Wright as he flaps and  misses Steve Reading's cross but luckily it goes behind 78mins.  A good save from Nick Wilson denies Deniz Mehmet 79mins.  Abul Hussain's freekick is met by Brad Jones but Nick Wilson saves it 81mins.  A great run from Deniz Mehmet but he shoots wildly over 82mins. But on 83 mins Eton Manor's defence cracked again as Abul Hussain slipped a ball through to Neil Hughes who slotted it past Nick Wilson 5-3 E's .  A shot from Manor's Tom Nyama is saved by Steve Wright 84mins  . And on 85 mins E's were out of sight with Paul Oshin playing Deniz Mehmet into space and his clever ball to Brad Jones was slammed past Nick Wilson 6-3 E's  A good chance for Paul Oshin but he puts it wide 86mins. Takeley were first to fire a shot in anger as Dan Crook's cross  was met by Joe Galsworthy who  put a good chance wide in the 1st min. Joe Galsworthy then fires a shot across E's goalmouth moments later .  A chance for E's as Abul Hussain's ball finds Brad Jones but he scuffs his shot wide 4 mins.  A snapshot from  Takeley's Greg Williams  from 25 yards had  Steve Wright saving low to his right  7 mins. Brad Jones pulls a shot wide 8mins . A great run by Deniz Mehmet  and a superb low cross was well taken by Takeley keeper Andros Demostenous 9 mins.  .  Good work by Lee Benmore feeds Paul Oshin but he pulls his shot wide of the Takeley goal 15 mins.  More good work from Kieron Woodward  who finds Deniz Mehmet but his shot was well saved by Andros Demostenous 19 mins.  A good Paul Oshin cross almost picks out Abul Hussain at the far post  but the ball was just too far in front of him 22 min.  Good work between Kieron Woodward and Paul Oshin tee up Elvis Balic but his shot is a whisker wide 23 mins . Deniz Mehmet was proving to be a big concern for Takeley and another good run and cut in,  but his shot is saved well by Andros Demostenous 24 min.  A chance for Takeley as good play from Chris Grove sets up Joe Galsworthy but he lifts his shot narrowly over Steve Wright's bar 25 mins. Kieron Woodward  is booked for a foul on Dan Crook 27mins. A moment of controversy as Abul Hussain's shot looked to be handled in the area  but  Referee Mr Barnes and his assistant gave it an Inch outside the box ???  Wes Borghys blasted the resulting freekick into the Takeley wall 33mins.  (Takeley double subs James Whitbread  and Lee Forde replace Dan Crook and Greg Williams 34mins)  Deniz Mehmet tears Takeley apart  with a surging run but he flashes a shot across the six yard box 39 mins. A needless booking for Takeley's Alex Martin for dissent on 40mins.  Steve Wright did well to tip Joe Galsworthy's chip over his crossbar 42 mins.  A great take by Steve Wright  from a dangerous inswinging corner from Lee Forde 44 mins. 2nd half ...E's Brad Jones gets booked for something he said 47mins.  Kieron Woodward's good ball to Brad Jones is wasted as he fires it over the top 51mins.  But E's pressure finally paid off  on 53 mins as  Deniz Mehmet with another penetrating  run feeds Brad Jones who guide's it on to Adilson Lopes to stroke the ball   into the far corner 1-0 E's. It got better for E's two minutes  later with Deniz Mehmet cutting into the box and he  was upended by Chris Dorrian  and a penalty was given by  Referee  Mr Barnes . Brad Jones  stepped up and  competantly  blasted it home 2-0  E's. (Takeley sub  Joe Lustig  on for Ross Tobolewski 57mins)   Abul Hussain's freekick is headed wide by Adilson Lopes 61 mins.   On 65 mins E's were out of sight with Deniz Mehmet again proving to be Takeley's tormenter with another run and ball into the box Brad Jones lets it run to Elvis Balic who slots the ball past Andros Demostenous 3-0 E's . Takeley's Lee Forde is booked for a lunge at Wes Borghys 66mins  and James Amott soon followed with with another  booking for a  foul on Brad Jones 67 mins. Another Mazy run from Deniz Mehmet but this time he goes for glory and Andros Demostenous saved well 69mins.  But E's dominance cracked open Takeley's defence again with  Paul Oshin's shot being charged down and Elvis Balic unleashing a 25 yarder into Andros Demostenous's top corner 4-0 E's  74 mins. (E's sub Neil Hughes on for Adilson Lopes 75mins) Deniz Mehmet tried his luck from 30 yards but it went wide 77mins .(E's sub Jack Coomes on for Abul Hussain 78mins)   A moment to forget for Takeley keeper Andros Demostenous as his clearence is charged down by  Deniz Mehmet  but luckily for the Takeley custodian    it rolled wide of his post 81mins. (E's sub Geoff Ogran on for Lee Benmore 82mins )  More good work from Brad Jones and Deniz Mehmet almost created another chance but Mark Watters did well to clear Takeley's lines 88 mins. E's were forced down to the bare bones of the squad as Jack Coomes ,Neil Hughes ,Elvis Balic ,Shaun Clarke ,Marlon Borland all reported sick or unavailable  with Chris Green still a week or two away from his comeback .
 
E's were first to create an opening with Adilson Lopes tee'ing up Brad Jones but his shot flew over the top .  Sawbridgeworth's Ben Doyle had a half chance but Steve Wright was well positioned to deal with it 2 mins. Abul Hussain's corner was headed wide by Guy Bonwick on 5 mins. Sawbridgeworth were not going to be there for the taking  and were proving to be a stubbon opponent with   Ben Doyle's corner   headed over the bar  by Richard Longley 16mins. Adilson Lopes was booked for disputing a decision 18mins. Steve Wright made a good save from Brad Smith's freekick and had to grab the ball at the second attempt as it spun from his grasp 19mins . Wes Borghys freekick was partially cleared  with Brad Jones returning a header but Phil Bulled was on the line to head it clear 21mins. On 24 mins E's go Ahead   Guy Bonwick wins a well timed tackle  and Lee Benmore feeds Deniz Mehmet  who'se fine run and cross picks out Adilson Lopes  who had an easy job to roll it home 1-0 E's .  A good save by Sawbridgeworth keeper Jamie Ring as Kieron Woodward unleashed a 30 yard swerving  piledriver but he managed to knock it away 28mins.  A good try by Adilson Lopes but his shot is deflected a whisker wide 36 mins.  A rare slip by Wes Borghys  presented Raich Fraser with a gilt edged chance but amazingly he pulled his shot wide 40mins. Sawbridgeworth were made  to pay on 44 mins as Kieron Woodward's corner is deflected  in amounst a ruck of bodies but the ball breaks loose and Adilson Lopes blasted home to put E's 2-0 up  H/T .
 
2nd Half .... A good tackle by Richard Longley denies Deniz Mehmet as he is about to let fly 50mins. Kieron Woodward is hacked down by Raich Fraser and was booked by Mr Weston 52mins.  Deniz Mehmet lets fly from 25 yards but it fly's wide  56 mins.  A brilliant run from Paul Oshin  and a  fine cross  but Brad Jones just couldn't turn it home at the far post 59mins.  Sawbridgeworth caused E's some problems with a good spell as Ben Doyle's shot is saved by Steve Wright ,Brad Smith's shot is blocked by Guy Bonwick  on 60mins  and Ben Doyle's header  is saved by Steve Wright 61mins. Dan Hudson's deflected  freekick caused  Steve Wright a problem but he Re-adjusted himself to make the save at his far post  62mins.  Kieron Woodward's corner to Deniz Mehmet  who tee's up Lee Benmore but he blasts it wide 64mins. (Sawbridgeworth triple subs Kevin Moore , Jordan Childs & Stuart Cunningham replace  Ben Doyle ,Phil Bulled & Ashley Conlan 69mins)  Lee Benmore's corner picks out Adilson Lopes who heads over the top 73mins. Abul Hussain and Richard Longly  get themselves into a scrap and Mr Weston had little  option but  to book them both 76mins.  Abul Hussain's shot is well blocked by Dean Salmon 80mins. Deniz Mehmet's shot is deflected narrowly wide 87mins. A moment to forget from Referee  Mr Weston and his assistant as the ball clearly goes into touch off Wes Borghys but the throw is  "amazingly given E's way" much to the disgust of Kevin Moore who was booked for dissent ???  E's fans along the touchline found it very amusing though  89mins.  A chance for Sawbridgeworth as Kevin Moore's cross  finds Dan Hudson but he blasts it wide 91mins . E's played their first match for a month  but  Still no Chris Green for E's ,but Paul Oshin returns to the squad
 
E's  were first to create an opening in the 2nd minute as Kieron Woodward's cross  was  punched clear by Stansted keeper Scott Darby .  On 6 Mins . Paul Oshin threaded a ball through to Adilson Lopes but Scott Darby again read the situation well  to race out quickly and hoof the ball clear.   Scott Darby again plucked out a firm cross by Adilson Lopes from a threatening E's raid 11 mins.  Stansted's first real chance came on 12 mins as John Bricknell's 20 yard effort smacked the top of Steve Wright's crossbar .Steve Wright did well to read  a ball put through to Danny Demitrio and saved from  a 1 on 1  situation 13mins.  A silly booking for Kieron Woodward for kicking the ball away 15mins.  With a spell of E's momentum the deadlock was broken on 21 mins as Kieron Woodward's corner  picked out the unmarked Wes Borghys on the edge of the box and he unleashed a screamer into the roof of the net 1-0 E's.  E's almost added to the lead on 25mins as Wes Borghys freekick finds Brad Jones who'se attempted  lob was well saved by Scott Darby . Adilson Lopes was booked on 28mins for a tackle on Jack Dallender.Stansted had E's pushed back and  Danny Demitrio has a good chance for Stansted but again Steve Wright keeps his effort out 31mins. Ryan Murray has Stansted's next opportunity but he heads wide from Paul Seymour's corner 33mins. A shot by Seymour moments later goes wide . Steve Wright makes a fine save by falling backwards to punch clear  as Tom Spillane's cross looked to be looping over him 36mins. Stansted's Paul Seymour is booked for a foul on Neil Hughes 37mins. A let off for E's as Elvis Balic's slip lets in Ben Bradbury but from a very promising position he plays the ball to Danny Demitrio who was offside .  Stansted's Billy Haspinal is booked for a chop on Lee Benmore 42mins. 2nd Half..... E's were more assertive from the restart and went furthur ahead on 47mins as Kieron Woodward's freekick was headed partially clear  by Jack Dallender and eventually falls to Adilson Lopes who crashed a low shot into the bottom corner 2-0 E's.  ( E's sub Jack Coomes on for Abdu Hussain 48mins)  Ryan Murray puts a dangerous ball across E's six yard box but  nobody was there to tap it home. (Stansted sub  Karim Imbert on for Paul Seymour 54mins) Elvis Balic's corner falls to  Jack Coomes whose  close range shot was blocked on the line 65mins. John Bricknell is booked for a lunge on Elvis Balic 75mins .  On 77 mins E's were even furthur ahead as Jack Coomes ball across the box finds Neil Hughes and he went down from Bill Sendall's challenge, Referee Mr Weston awarded a penalty , "A tad generous perhaps  "  Upstepped Brad Jones who blasted it home 3-0 E's .  (E's sub Lawrence Jones on for Lee Benmore 79mins and for Stansted Greg Taylor on for Ryan Murray)  Steve Wright does well to save a shot from Karim Imbert 84mins .  A brilliantly timed tackle from Guy Bonwick denies Greg Taylor 89mins . But on 90mins Greg Taylor pulls a goal back as he is put through with Steve Wright blocking his first attempt  he manages to roll the rebound home 3-1 E's   (Stansted sub Calum Clemence on for Andy Oxby 92mins)  Neil Hughes misses a good chance as he loses control of the ball  from six yards 94 mins.  with 97 mins played Referee Mr Weston ends the game .

Two early corner's  from Basildon's Ryan Collins and Lance McDowell were successfully cleared but E's had to wait until the 10th minute for their first opening with Neil Hughes firing over the bar. A good move from Basildon  with Richard Robinson supplying Ollie Baker but Steve Wright was well placed to deal with his shot 12 mins. A chance for E's as Abdu Hussain's freekick is headed wide by Guy Bonwick 15mins.(E's sub Chris Green took a knock  and was replaced by Lawrence Jones 20mins)  A mistake in Basildon's defence let in Brad Jones but his shot was deflected a whisker wide 21mins.  A Wesley Borghys long throw  falls to Abdu Hussain but he slashes his shot well wide 24mins. Guy Bonwick's ball down the wing supplied Neil Hughes but he was just off target as he cut in and shot inches wide 26mins. A chance for Basildon as Richard Robinson's shot goes wide 30mins .  E's went ahead a minute later with Elvis Balic's corner  finding Guy Bonwick at the back post  who headed back across goal and Brad Jones was on hand to guide a close range header past Richard Mann 1-0 E's.  Basildon's Ryan Collins finds himself booked  on 34mins . Richard Gray soon followed him into the book for chopping down Wes Borghys .  Neil Hughes  did well to tee up Brad Jones but somehow Basildon's defence managed to block his shot out from point blank range 42mins. Frank Webb's ball feeds Neil Hughes but he rolls the ball wide 49mins.  An overhit cross from Wes Borghys  had a surprised  Richard Mann backpeddling but he just manages to regain his ground and tip the ball over his crossbar 51mins . (Basildon sub  Sam Raven on for Richard Gray 60min and for E's Jack Coomes and Deniz Mehmet on for Abdu Hussain and Neil Hughes 66mins)  Basildon's Lance McDowell  flashes a dangerous freekick across E's six yard box 69mins.  On 71mins E's Increased their advantage with Wes Borghys putting a ball over the top for Brad Jones  and he won a brave 50-50 with Richard Mann  to roll the ball past him 2-0 E's  . The match  was far from over though as Steve Wright was out quickly to close down Steve Poulter's shot  72mins   A good try from Wes Borghys as he tries his luck with a 25 yarder which was an Inch  wide with Richard Mann giving it up. Shaun Clarke tries his luck but Richard Mann saves well 75mins .  Frank Webb is booked for tugging a shirt 76mins. Great work from Deniz Mehmet and his ball to Shaun Clarke brings another save from Richard Mann 77 mins. Lee Benmore's shot is saved on 79 mins . A strange day began with Referee Mr Livingstone  debating whether to allow the match to start with concerns over a muddy area near the touchline ?
Clapton's squad was much changed from the programme with half their team changed.             Abdu Hussain makes his first start for E's .
 
After an early raid by Clapton  E's first chance fell to Neil Hughes who was put clear by Chris Green  but his shot went inches wide 2 mins.  Clapton were proving they were  not going to be an easy opponent and they had a chance on 4 mins with  Andrew Williams shooting wide .  Clapton again had an opportunity on 5 mins as Troy Hewitt blazes one wide . E's started the game reasonabley well with Elvis Balic playing a ball across Danny Mulrooney's 6 yard box but Neil Hughes was unable to get to it 4 mins.  On 6 mins Shaun Clarke's effort was well taken by Danny Mulrooney . Romford's first chance came with a heart stopping moment for Steve Wright with his clearence hitting Paul Kavanagh in the back but he was lucky as the ball rebounded back to him before Kavanagh could react 14mins.  With both defences well on top Kieron Woodward cuts in and  lets fly but it goes over the top of the Romford crossbar 21 mins.  Good work from Shaun Clarke gives a chance to Adilson Lopes but Danny Mulrooney reads it well to make the save 24mins.  A chance for Romford as Martin Heed's shot is well blocked by Chris Green 29 mins , E's went ahead on 31 mins with some good work from Adilson Lopes  with his ball splitting the Romford rearguard and Neil Hughes swept the ball home across Danny Mulrooney 1-0 E's.   Wes Borghys puts a ball over the top of  the Romford defence on 34 mins but Adilson Lopes stumbled and put it tamely wide . E's were still without Jack Coomes and Paul Oshin who aggravated an old Injury  ,New recruit Simon Karrie started on the bench .
 
E's first raid on 2 mins almost brought reward as Deniz Mehmet crosses but Elvis Balic's shot was well saved by Bob Mason .  Lawrence Jones almost put E's ahead on 4 mins as his shot was  saved by Bob Mason this time turning  the ball around the near post .  But E's early pressure did pay off a minute later  from Josh Oakley's corner  causing  confusion with Neil Hughes and Lawrence Jones occupying defenders and giving Frank Webb the chance to fire home 1-0 E's  5 mins.  despite E's dominance they had to wait until the 17th minute before the next opportunity arrived with Kieron Woodward's deflected shot  falling into Bob Mason's grateful arms .  Hullbridge were now beginning to  put some moves together and Tony Lane was put clear on 20 mins but Steve Wright did well to rush out and close down his shot.  Neil Hughes sends in a great ball to Deniz Mehmet but Bob Mason again saves well 18 mins.  Lee Benmore tries his luck from 25 yards but its about a yard wide 23 mins.   On 26 mins Deniz Mehmet tee's one up for Neil Hughes but again Bob Mason saves it . Lee Benmore's shot is saved on 27 mins.  Elvis Balic is wide from a 20 yarder on 30 mins. A corner for Hullbridge from Jamie Salmon caused a problem  with the ball being grabbed by Steve Wright as Dan Barrington was about to pounce on the loose ball 39 mins.
Hullbridge were level on 40 mins with Jamie Salmon's freekick out on the touchline being missed by E's defenders and James Wackett was able to  get between them and head home 1-1 . Southend  got into the game on 8 mins with Tery Baker's shot being saved by Steve Wright 9 mins.  Referee Mr Cottee seemed to Ignore a nasty tackle from behind on Paul Oshin from Jason Jay with the Southend No4 somehow  getting away with it ?  A shot by Chris Baddeley went wide on19 mins , Another chance for Southend as Wilf Msiska's shot sailed wide on 24 mins . Neil Hughes does well to get a ball across to Shaun Clarke and his knock down to Josh Oakley  looked a good chance  but Neill Finn was alert to enough close him down 85mins.Shaun Clarke again gets into some space but his shot flies over the top 86mins.  Jack Coomes then reacts to an over zealous challenge and is sent off 87mins. a shot from Dean Nyman is saved by Steve Wright 90mins.  With E's pushing forward in search of grabbing an equaliser  Dean Nyman was put through and he chipped the onrushing Steve Wright  to make the game safe for home side 94 mins 2-0 Romford , Nyman again with a final chance but this time he was well off target .

An early chance for Takeley as Scott Forbes freekick finds Dan Crook who heads over the E's crossbar on 6 mins.  E's first shye at goal came when Shaun Clarke turned his marker and his shot was saved by Andros Demonthenos 9 mins. Lee Benmore's corner  a minute later is flicked over the Takeley bar by Deniz Mehmet. A chance for Takeley as Greg Williams volleys wide 17 mins. Good work from Lee Benmore and a fine cross picks out Neil Hughes but his header is wide 24 mins.  A good cross from Deniz Mehmet picks out Kieron Woodward but his header goes over the top 25 mins.  Lee Benmore's corner finds Shaun Clarke but again it goes over the top 29 mins.  good work from Jack Coomes feeds Shaun Clarke who tee's up Neil Hughes but he puts it wide . Paul Oshin Swivels himself into some space but Andros Demonthenos saves well 33 mins . Deniz Mehmet with a 30 yard run forces his way through but his end product is  tamely scuffed at Andros Demonthenos 39 mins.  Paul Oshin from just outside the box blazes wildly over 43 mins.  But right on 45 mins E's momentum finally paid off as Shaun Clarke cleverly controlled the ball and played in Neil Hughes who volleyed past Andros Demonthonos to put E's 1-0 up .  Having worked so hard to go ahead E's  then switched off  as seconds later Steve Wright saves from Joe Galsworthy but in the third minute of added time and the last kick of the half  Scott Forbes cross finds its way to Greg Williams  who picked his spot with ease 1-1  H/T
 
2nd Half..... E's still found defending a chore at the restart with Scott Forbes corner finding Mark Watters head but he was just off target 49 mins. Takeley went ahead with some more careless defending on 51 mins  with Lee Benmore looking to have a routine clearence  but it was charged down and the ball spun across to Joe Galsworthy who had all the time he liked to stroke the ball past Steve Wright 2-1 Takeley .  (Takeley sub Marshall Smith on for Joe Galsworthy 57 mins and for E's  Elvis Balic replaces Jack Coomes 58 mins and  Brad Nelson on for Neil Hughes 61mins)   Elvis Balic's shot is saved 63 mins .  E's  were without the injured Steve Wright and Deniz Mehmet  and new recriut  Jason Fox through illness .Jack Coomes was  unavailable.  Alfie Brincat was handed the gloves and  Elvis Balic and Marlon Borland  came into the squad . 
 
E's first chance arrived on 3 mins as Neil Hughes worked his way through but Takley keeper James May blocked his shot.  A chance for Takeley on 9 mins as a ball from Greg Williams feeds Joe Galsworthy but his shot goes tamley wide .  Lee Benmore's corner finds Kieron Woodward but James May saves it 13 mins. An up and under from Scott Forbes from just inside E's half causes Alfie Brincat a problem with the sun  but he regains his ground  and manages to keep it out 17 mins.  A big chance for Takeley as Alfie Brincat makes a double save from Greg Williams 19 mins. Alfie Brincat again saves the day as he keeps out Joe Galsworthy's effort 20 mins. A shot from Joe Galsworthy is sliced wide 21 mins.  On 27 mins Takleley go ahead  with Alex Martin's cross  finding Jamie Amott who glances his header into the bottom corner 1-0 Takeley .  E's were now coming back into the game and Lee Benmore's freekick was just missed at the backpost by Guy Bonwick 35 mins .A shot by Alex Martin is brilliantly blocked by Chris Green's head  38 mins . A shot by Chris Grove was well  dealt with by Alfie Brincat 42 mins H/T .
 
2nd Half ......  (E's sub Wes Borghys on for Paul Marin )  Alfie Brincat  is well positioned to deal with Greg Williams freekick 47 mins.  (E's subs Marlon Borland on for Shaun Borland 56 mins  and Shaun Clarke on for  Manlee Brown 59 mins)   With the changes made E's were now getting the upper hand and were level on 61 mins with great work from Kieron Woodward and his cross was partially cleared but Elvis Balic from the edge of the box  thumped a volley into the bottom corner 1-1 .  Paul Oshin tries his luck from distance  but is wide 63 mins . Lee Benmore curls a freekick inches wide 67 mins .  On 69 mins E's go ahead  as Lee Benmore picks up a clearence out on the touchline and a peach of a cross is inch perfect for Marlon Borland to head past Jamie May    2-1 E's  . Takeley did respond with Scott Forbes shot going wide 71 mins . But E's purple patch was to get even better on 73 mins  as Lee Benmore puts a ball over the Takeley defence , Shaun Clarke does enough to force Jamie May to flap at the ball  and Paul Oshin has a simple job in rolling home the loose ball 3-1 E's . A smattering of rain before kick off made the surface very greasy underfoot and on 3 minutes  E's took the lead in fortunate fashion as Paul Marin sent in a cross which looked to be a routine catch for Karl Ingram but the Hullbridge custodian failed to hold the ball above his head and it slipped through his hands 1-0 E's.   Jack Coomes is next to try his luck but his shot is deflected narrowly wide 7 mins.  Neil Hughes does well to win the ball  and tee's  Manlee Brown but his shot comes crashing back off of the Hullbridge crossbar 9 mins.  A chance for Hullbridge on 14 mins as Jamie Cheesewright puts across E's goalmouth and wide . Lee Benmore's corner finds Jack Coomes but he heads narrowly over the top 17 mins. 2nd half ....(E's sub Carl Robinson on for Paul Marin)   On 48 minutes E's increase the lead  with Kieron Woodward's good work on the edge of the box teeing up Neil Hughes who cuts in and shoots across Lawrence Priddle to put E's 2-0 ahead .(Hullbridge sub Antony Reevo on for Tony Lane 52 mins and for E's Adilson Lopes on for Jack Coomes 54 mins)  A shot by Lee Benmore is blocked 60 mins . (Hullbridge sub James Wackett on for Ryan Hodgson 65 mins) Lee Benmore's corner finds Manlee Brown but his header is saved by Lawrence Priddle 67 mins.  A freekick to Hullbridge just outside E's box  gives Anthony Reevo the chance to reduce the arrears but his powerfully driven shot is delected and Alfie Brincat(who had to change direction)  makes a brilliant save to keep it out 69 mins . S & L's first opportunity came as Tom Mills put wide from a shot just outside the box 9 mins .  Deniz Mehmet again bursts through and feeds Lee Benmore but this effort is deflected wide 14 mins. Wes Borghys's long throw finds Shaun Clarke but his header is well claimed by Richard Lavin 16 mins. Jack Coomes gets kicked in the face from a high boot and a freekick is given on the edge of the box ,The ball is rolled to Sherwin Stanley whose shot is blocked on the line  and Lee Benmore spoons over the rebound  from 10 yards 24 mins. 2nd half   A sickening clash of heads involving Paul Oshin and S & L's Paul Malone held the game up for several minutes as both needed lengthy treatment . E's were dealt a big blow as Sherwin Stanley hobbled off on 54 mins having taken a bad knock in the first half ,Neil Hughes came on to replace him.  S & L  had now decided to sit back and defend their lead and now  had just one man up front  and E's were  often frustrated as ball after ball was  being cleared .  Shaun Clarke at last finds space for a shot but Richard Lavin saves well 57 mins. Shaun Clarke crosses and Paul Oshin's header finds Neil Hughes but he is crowded out by a mass of S & L defenders 59 mins.  (S & L sub Dominic Johnson on for Tom Mills  and for E's Adilson Lopes on for Hawker Kider 65mins)  Kieron Woodward feeds Paul Oshin but he blasts wide 68mins . A very different E's line up took to the field for this match to give our squad players a game and to rest players for saturday's encounter with Stewarts & Lloyds .

A good interception from E's No 2 Hawker Kider prevented Barking's Kye Ruel from getting a shot away which was quickly followed by Jimmy Noakes glancing a header wide for Barking on 3 mins . Shaun Clarke burst through Barking's rearguard but Barking custodian Leighton Stoke was alert enough to rush out and close him down 6 mins.
A chance for Barking as TeeJay Tigani fires wide of Alfie Brincat's post 13 mins . A glaring miss from Barking's Kye Ruel as he spooned a gilt edged cross from Jimmy Noakes over the top from about 4 yards on 15 mins. But Barking did go ahead a minute later with a long throw finding its way to Jared Small who from just inside the box fired into Alfie Brincat's far corner to put the visitors in front . A good crossfield ball from Wes Borghys put Shaun Borland away but having made himself room with a penetrating run, he then slashed his shot wide 18 mins. A long ball forward again caused Barking a problem as Shaun Clarke ran onto and headed the ball over Leighton Stoke but Scott Borthwick managed to clear the ball off the line 21 mins . A shot by Kye Ruel went straight at Alfie Brincat who saved easily 29 mins. A chance for E's as Chris Spiteri's effort is well held by Leighton Stoke 30 mins. 2nd Half.... Lee Benmore's corner falls to Sherwin Stanley but he puts it wide. Another  Lee Benmore corner falls to Adilson Lopes but he heads straight at Dan Bibby who held the ball well 48 mins. Moments later Lee Benmore slips a ball into Neil Hughes but again Dan Bibby saves well 49 mins.  Deniz Mehmet puts over a fine cross but Sherwin Stanley is an inch away from ramming it home 50 mins.  Lee Benmore's shot is deflected wide 51 mins.  Adilson Lopes heads Lee Benmore's corner over the top 53 mins. E's began without the services of Danny Gabriel ,Steve Wright was rested to the bench to give young  Alfie Brincat a game , Chris Green returned to the squad and Leon King made his first start on the bench.
 
E's had to wait until the 5th minute to have a shot at Adam Seal's goal  but Jack Coomes layoff to Paul Marin was wasted when he spooned it well over the bar. The next chance arrived for E's when Paul Oshin's effort was deflected wide 11 mins . A shout for a handball in Southend's box was waved away by Referee Mr Grote 14 mins . A good clearence from Southend's Jon Wheatstone  cut out Lee Benmore's precision cross 17 mins .  A great run by Deniz Mehmet  down the flank  but his cross went behind  the E's forwards that were  waiting  along the six yard box 18 mins .  On 20 mins E's persistance paid off with  the opening goal , From Lee Benmore's corner  Paul Oshin rose between Jon Wheatstone and Andy Merry  to head firmly home via the underside of Adam Seal's crossbar 1-0 E's .
 With E's very much in  charge  Paul Oshin almost added to the score again with a fine run and shot which came crashing back off Adam Seal's post 25mins. Lee Benmore puts over  yet another corner  and Wes Borghys sneaked in at the back post but his low shot was blocked by a mass of Southend players  28mins.  Kieron Woodward  forces his way through on 36 mins but his shot is inches wide . 2nd half ....  (E's sub Chris Green on for Paul Oshin )  E's Increased the lead seconds from the restart  as Adilson Lopes won a header which Sherwin Stanley chased with Southend keeper Adam Seal  looking favourite to clear Sherwin managed to muscle past him and blast the ball home from a tight angle  2-0 E's . Two Minutes later it was 3-0 as Sherwin Stanley slipped a peach of a ball  through to Neil Hughes who thumped it past Adam Seal  48 mins. Lee Benmore puts over a great cross but again nobody can tap it home 49mins. But a minute later Deniz Mehmet sends over a cross from the touchline inch perfect to Neil Hughes who met it supurbley 4-0 E's 50mins.

Shaun Clarke fires one over the top 62 mins.  Deniz Mehmet's shot was well blocked 65 mins ,But on 66 mins E's were even  furthur ahead  as Lee Benmore's corner is partially cleared and Jack Coomes shot from 18 yards  took a deflection past  the rooted to the spot Adam Seal 5-0 E's . A good run from Leon King finds space for a shot but its wide 68 mins.  Jack Coomes finds himself booked for dissent 79 mins.  Southend almost pull a goal back on 81 mins as a deep cross is headed back across goal by Dave Coulson but Dan Stanley's shot comes back off the crossbar from two yards ! .  Alfie Brincat made a save from Dave Tubbs 83 mins and Chris Baddley fires wide 85 mins.  But on 87 mins the moment of the match as Kieron Woodward collects the ball 40 yards out and  weaves his way past several challenges before blasting past Adam Seal 6-0 E's .... Shaun Clarke's  overhit cross had Barkingside keeper Glen Johnson scrambling back but he just managed to regain his ground to tip the ball over the bar 2 mins.  Danny Gabriel did well to set up Lee Benmore but his shot was well blocked 8 mins. Sherwin Stanley heads Lee Benmore's corner over the top 10 mins. Danny Gabriel's shot from 12 yards was well saved by Glen Johnson. A brilliantly timed tackle from Paul Marin disposessed  the dangerous Chris Lewis on 16 mins  ,Danny Gabriel wasted a 1 on 1 with Glen Johnson when he took one touch too many and lost control of the ball 19 mins. A good try by Barkingside's  Dom Harkins which flew wide of the target 32 mins. Adilson Lopes sent a well weighted ball over the top of Barkingside's defenders for Sherwin Stanley but again poor control and a weak shot was easily gathered by Glen Johnson 38 mins.  Shaun Clarke puts over a fine cross but Glen Johnson did well to take the ball 41 mins.  Barkingside breached E's offside trap as Jamie Clarke burst through but although his shot got past Steve Wright, but Kieron Woodward had plenty of time to clear off the line 42 mins. Barkingside started the second half better than they did the first but lost Dominic Harkins who was replaced by Anthony Jones 47 mins . A rare slip from Kieron Woodward  gave Jamie Clarke a chance but Steve Wright was out like a flash to block his shot 50 mins , Adilson Lopes lost the ball moments later to  Mark Steadman but he pulled  the chance embarrassingly wide 51 mins.  Danny Gabriel puts Sherwin Stanley clear but an excellantly well timed tackle from Carl Charlery  cleared the danger from the E's hitman 56mins. A great cross from Shaun Borland but a good head over his own crossbar  by Carl Charlery prevents an E's forward getting to it ,Amazingly Referee Mr Livingstone gave a goalkick ??? . 90 mins. Steve Wright does well to claim a dangerous cross from Brad Jones  ,   A major  flare up erupted as Lee Benmore is  badly chopped down after  he passed the ball ,Referee Mr Livingstone sent off Barkingside's Anthony Jones for serious foul play after things calmed down ,Steve Wright found himself booked for his part in the melee . A good run from Sherwin Stanley across Barking's 6 yard box almost got E's off to a perfect start but he was crowded out of getting his shot away 3 mins.
With E's on top the next chance arrived on 8 mins with Paul Oshin's cross finding Deniz Mehmet but he heads wide.  Still E's were trying to break Barking's packed defence  down but had to wait until the 22nd minute to finally unlock their rearguard  , Jack Coomes swung a ball out to Danny Gabriel  to the edge of the box as Barking's defenders hesitated in  looking for an offside flag  but Barking keeper Leigham Stone  rushed out to intercept  only to clatter into Danny Gabriel   and Referee Mr Connor pointed to the penalty spot.  Sherwin Stanley  stepped up to blast it home  1-0 E's .  E's were  well on top  now with Barking hardly getting into E's half  . On 32 mins Kieron Woodward's ball set up Sherwin Stanley but he swept the chance wide . A very quiet start  ,But Burnham carved out the first opening when a cross from Chris Day found Stuart Fergus who scooped  the ball over Steve Wrights crossbar on 6 mins .  Sherwin Stanley puts over a good cross  which Dave McCartney did very well to take the ball whilst under duress  10 mins. A chance for Wes Borghys as the ball was partially  cleared but his shot was deflected a yard wide  13 mins. A chance appears  on the edge of the box for Paul Marin  but again it goes wide for E's 17 mins .  Burnham took the lead  on 21 mins  as George Alder puts over a fine cross  with Stuart Fergus having his effort blocked the ball falls into the path of Dean Allen who made no mistake in slotting past Steve Wright  1-0 Burnham .  Paul Oshin fires well wide from the edge of the box moments later .  Steve Wright does well to save from Dean Allen 24 mins  .  With E's pushing forward Burnham again split E's rearguard on 31 mins as Stuart Fergus gets through and squares to Dean Allen who couldn't miss 2-0 Burnham . E's won a freekick  just outside the box but Wes Borghys put it over the top 33 mins.  A skirmish between Paul Oshin and Burnham's Chris Lockwood got them both booked 39 mins  . Matters could have got much worse for E's as  Jordan Tolan's  freekick crashed off the top of Steve Wright's crossbar 43 mins H/T
 
2nd Half....(E's sub  Carl Robinson on for Brad Wiggington )   Burnham's Jordan Tolan  flicks a chance over the bar 47 mins . Lee Benmore was cut down by a late challenge  but no booking  for the Burnham player concerned .  Sherwin Stanley  was bundled over  just inside of the box  but Referee Mr Maskell gave it outside ?, Danny Gabriel fired the subsequent freekick inches over the bar 52 mins. (E's sub Neil Hughes on for Paul Marin 55 mins & for Burnham Jack Callow on for Stuart Fergus 56 mins)  Chris Green's header was saved by Dave McCartney  58 mins . A moment of debate as  Sherwin Stanley appeared to be tripped  But Mr Maskell waved E's penalty appeals away 59 mins. ?   E's were caught pushing forward again on 61 mins as Chris Day's  cross  drifted into the path of Jack Callow who guided it  home 3-0 Burnham.  Lee Benmore's corner  was deflected goalwards but Dave McCartney did well to keep it out 70 mins. A shot from 20 yards by Jordan Tolan goes wide for Burnham 71 mins   Neil Hughes crosses  but Paul Oshin heads wide 72 mins .Danny Gabriel's shot is well saved by Dave McCartney 73mins . Sherwin Stanley looked to be pushed in the back from Deniz Mehmet's cross but again Mr Maskell waves E's appeals  away  75 mins. Lee Benmore shoots over the top on 76 mins . A chance for Dean Allen to complete his hat trick as a cross looks to have picked him out but he misses his kick  from six yards 77mins.  E's afternoon was just about summed up as Steve Wright lost his bearings and carried the ball outside his box . But with the contest over Mr Maskell  sensibley just booked him 84mins.   Dean Allen shoots wide for Burnham 86 mins . No furthur chances from then on F/T
