The Performance Improvement Institute (PII) focuses on developing and "graduating" new companies through a unique incubation process under the leadership of PhD. candidates and the supervision of an international faculty. PII is currently developing 12 projects involving the creation of 20 companies and more than 2500 professional, high-end jobs in Mexico during 2007. The incubated companies form a "business ecosystem" organized in clusters of complementary organizations. PII incubates organizations in a wide range of industries such as agribusiness, software factories, industrial parks, NGOs, microfinance, housing development and global trade.
