INVERTED MINORS After partner opens one of a minor, a single raise shows the following:- - No 4-card major
- 10 points plus ..no upper limit
Opener replies:- A) With balanced hand (12 to 14) :- - 2 ♥ Promises Heart stopper and denies Spade Stop
- 2 ♠ Promises Spade stopper and denies Heart Stop
- 2NT Promises stops in Majors. May or may not have other minor stop
- 3NT Promises 18/19 points
B) Unbalanced hands (holding singleton or void) - Bid second suit if your hand is 6/4. This MAY be mistaken for showing stopper as above. You will now rebid your minor over a further response from partner of 2NT.
