DRAW TRUMPS
To Draw or not to draw ---------that is the question
When you are declarer in a suit contract always draw trumps first. This makes sense doesn’t it? Otherwise there is a risk that your outside winners will be ruffed. This is particularly true if you have a solid suit which you intend to run.
However, having said that, how about the situation where you plan to ruff losers in each hand? In other words, you need to set up a cross ruff. If you draw trumps first, then you will have no trumps left with which to ruff.
In this case, even drawing1 round of trumps may be too much!
This is where you need to make a plan before you play the first card from dummy.
Ask yourself; what can go wrong if I draw trumps first?
