I was called to the Bar in July 1986 and specialise in Family and Criminal Law. I work from Northampton Chambers. This is a busy Common Law set.
I am a member of the Midland Circuit.
I undertake work in all forms of Family Law including Child Law (Public and Private), Matrimonial Finance, committal hearings and applications for injunctions.
Moreover I undertake work in Criminal Law including cases with charges of murder, manslaughter, fraud, drugs, violence and sexual offences. Many of these cases involve the assistance of Queen's Counsel.
In particular I deal with a large number of cases involving children with charges ranging from assaults, sexual offences,cruelty and neglect.
I have a keen interest in computer information technology and have undertaken a number of computer crime related cases.These include operation ore cases where individual are prosecuted for making, taking and possessing child pornography.
Some of my work includes preparing and conducting cases on appeal.
I am also interested in and have undertaken a number of cases in The Coroner's Court.
I am a member of the Northamptonshire Public Funding Review Committee and the Very High Cost Cases Review Committee.
In June 2002 I was appointed a Deputy District Judge.
Although my Chambers is based in the Midlands I have conducted trials as far a field as Lancaster, Hull and Portsmouth.
