History of the club...
...Up until Doncaster 1986 Show Kings in Great Britain came under the banner of The Variety Pigeon Club. The inaugural meeting of The British King Club took place on Sunday, January 11th 1987 at Newbury, Berks. The Officers elected at the time were :
President:-Flt/Lt Basil Jennings (a position that he still holds today.)
Chairman/Secretary:-Stan Berry, Treasurer:-Andrew Webster. The Committee was made up of Gordon Brooks, Nigel Williams and Gordon Weaver. There were 20 people present at this meeting.
Present Day...
...The present British King Club Officers are :
Patron:-Flt/Lt Basil Jennings.
President:-Francis Bradbourn.
Chairman/Secretary:- Ken & Sheila Goodman.
Treasurer:- Gary Eaton.
The British King Club now has around 25 active members and holds an annual Club Show with usually about 80 entries which it moves around the Country.
Colours Available...
...In Great Britain we have White, Black/Black Mottles, Blue Barred/Chequered/Mottles,
Ash Red/Chequered/Barred, Red Self, Yellow Self, Silver/Chequered/Barred, Dun,
Indigo and Andalusian.
