What a good decision we made, to make our first trip to Ireland ! First class hospitality, comfortable accomodation and of course a few pints of Guinness made the visit well worthwhile.
There were 858 birds in the show ably judged by a group of fanciers from England. The group were: Kevin & Christine Keeler, John & Sandra Surridge, Andy & Josie Lowe, Sue Vine, Jim Mullan, Bob Snaith, Gary & Doreen Eaton, Albert & Mo Blair, Mike & Denise Radley and last but not least - Daniel (Lemmy) Gathercole.
Best in Show was a Jacobin from Jim McGarrigle (sorry, no photo). We were very taken by the Limerick Tumbler, a breed we had not seen before, neat, compact and friendly little pigeons.
John Fitzgerald, wife Elaine and Peter O'Donoghue should be well pleased with their efforts which produced one of the biggest shows seen in Ireland. WE WILL BE BACK !!! Kevin & Christine Keeler. |
