The Hertfordshire and Middlesex Cat Club was founded in 1947 by a group of enthusuastic cat lovers.
The club's aims are: To encourage a greater interest in Pedigree and Non-Pedigree cats To foster a better appreciation of cats in general To give members guidance regarding the breeding and welfare of cats To hold and support shows to further these aims
The club is affiliated to the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy and is represented by its delegate at meetings of the Council
The club's all breed championship show is held ont he first Saturday in September, and is open to both pedigree and non-pedigree cats, kittens and neuters.
The club's Welfare Officer acts a co-ordinator with both local and specialist breed rescue organisations, though we ourselves do not have facilities for fostering and re-homing.
The Annual General Meeting is open to all members, and is held in Centrol London in April
Membership is open to all who support the club's aims
A Newsletter is produced annually and is free to members
More information on the club can be found on this site, including the schedule for the coming show (from July) and pictures of the previous year's show
