Today’s homeowner wants more from their conservatory. It is now seen as an extra room to be used seven days a week, 365 days a year, whatever the weather. However, as many owners can testify, a conservatory can become almost unusable on hot sunny days because of solar heat gain, and uncomfortably cold in winter because of heat loss. Solar inserts are an integral part of the conservatory and so requires no additional cleaning or maintenance. Many internal blinds are sold as a product that will cool your conservatory, unfortunately this is not the case. Blinds can only reduce direct light and UV; the heat will still enter the conservatory and therefore heat the air inside. Solar Inserts will stop the heat before it enters. Air conditioning will have an ongoing cost as well as an install cost, unlike Solar film.
