Deb was a black, 16.1 hh 1988 mare by Blackhome College Andy (College Queen x Innishugh Duke). Her dam is Amble Acres Daisy (Ricinus Nell by Peter Koncarlaet x Chris E. Hector) Debbie did it all for us; cart, team, three abreast, four up, halter, and third grade classrooms! She produced 10 foals, and raised 13. We were very sad to learn of her death, but the old girl lived a grand life and spent her last years doing a job she loved- pulling a cart and working with children. We are retaining her daughter DeAnne and her granddaughters Ella and Demi. (Below: DLF de Anne-Debbie-DLF Vexation, Summer 2003)

Bonnie was Debbie's first foal by Ontario, and was much beloved. She was an indefagitble driving horse and our go-to girl for kid classes and teaching. To our great regret we had only the two good colts, but no filly out of her. We lost her in March of 2008 after a tragic accident, but we salute Equine Medical out of Lowell, MI for the tremendous work done in trying to save her- they are the best! Below: Bonnie with Brooke in the irons winning the Hunter under Saddle class at the 2002 National Show.
An Ontario daughter out of the Debbie daughter DLF Della Nobell (by Joanna's Noble), Ella is the dam of our two young hitch geldings sired by All-Star Prince Rocket- St. Patrick (Rsv. All American Stallion Foal, 1st Hon. Mention Yearling Stallion, 3rd Junior Reg. Gelding 2009 Nat'l Show) & St. Gregory. She is in foal to Windermere's North American Maid for 2010- we are looking forward to our Mooseling! Ella is the near horse below, hooked with Bonnie at the MGLI.
We reacquired Susie from Tyrel & Amy Frey of Tradewinds Farm fall 2009. This massive Glenview Kohl daughter sticks out at 18.3, left two good big Ontario daughters in the Frey barn and is bred back the same way for 2010.
Lola is Brooke's 2003 mare. This 18.0 hand mare is sired by the late, great Windermere King Cong and out of a Blackhome Grandeur Lyn daughter. Lola was Reserve Junior World Champion in 2004, and is unshown as an adult due to injury. She is proving herself a top flight broodmare! Lola gave a tremendous Ontario filly in 2007 (Lolita), and had a stupendous colt in January 2009 that we lost at 10 days. She is back in foal to Ontario for March 2010.
Below: Lola at MGLI 2005, keeping a close eye on the camera-woman!
Jules is a 2001 Grade Ontario daughter. She has been a tremendous halter horse, winning twice at the National Percheron Show and consistently placing very deep everywhere. She's a tremendous athelete, a darn good cart and lead horse, and can be counted upon to give a kid a good trip through the showmanship classes. Jules presented us with a super sharp black colt in April 2009- he is for sale and will make a tremendous hitch horse. Below: Jules, Michigan State Fair 2007.
Annie is Debbie's last daughter, a good strapping young mare with all the best Debbie & Ontario attributes- disposition, presence, drive and foot. She had a lovely black filly by In Command named Demitasse. Demi remained unshown this year due to illness but we think she'll join Lolita at the top of the halter string in 2010. Annie is open for 2010. Below- MGLI 2005 @ 2 years.
Lolita is the star of our halter string- a growthy, modern filly out of Starview's Deleila sired by Ontario. In 2009 she was 1st 2 yo mare, Percheron Horse Association of Michigan Futurity; 2nd, Rerserve Jr. Champion and Best Bred & Owned under 3 at Ohio; 1st, Junior & Reserve Grand Champion at Iowa; 1st, Junior, Grand, Best Michigan Bred and Supreme Champion; 4th @ the MGLI. We eagerly await the arrival of her full sibling in March 2010.
We have three Ontario daughters out of the King Cong mare SG Malinda- good footed fillies with an eye for the next horizon. Mimi was 1st Junior Filly Foal at Ohio this year, Maggie is a stretchy, modern type likely to mate Lolita in harness, and Molly will be out driving with Mattison in 2010.
An Ontario daughter purchased from some friends- Mattie is a big moving lead prospect. She's hauling wood Fall 2009 and will be in the ring with Molly in 2010.
A super fancy black, 2009 daughter of Windermere's In Command out of DLF DeAnne. Demi wasn't shown this year, but we have high hopes for this genetically blessed, very correct and modern filly. Below: Demi & Annie out on grass this spring.
