On the weekend of the 29th/30th March, 2003, Denistone East Uniting Church celebrated 50 years of witness in the community. The anniversary was celebrated with a social evening on the Saturday night, attended by approximately 130 people, and a Worship Service and luncheon on the Sunday, which saw about 270 attending.
