I live with my husband Kevin, my two grown up children, Bethan & Daniel and four Dalmatians in a pretty village in South Wales. We enjoy our walks along the Brecon to Monmouthshire canal, which runs through the village or by the river in nearby Abergavenny.

Having always been surrounded by dogs at home, I bought my first Dalmatian, Dylan, in 1992. Very soon we were joined by a 'second hand' bitch named Candy.
Sadly Dylan died age 2 with kidney failure and Candy had many personality issues. Though I loved them both dearly they were not the best introduction to the breed. Nevertheless it did not put me off, far from it. It made me determined to find out as much as possible about the breed. The first lesson was 'to avoid puppy farm bred dogs'.

Having made contact with Julie Evans (Tyrodal) in 1995 I soon realised how important it is to buy a puppy from a breeder who cares about the breed, and offers  continued support throughout the dog's life. As well as being my mentor, we remain friends to this day. Amber, our first show Dal came to us in the summer of '95 from the Tyrodal kennel. We have gone on to show, and occaisionally breed, offering guidance and support for our puppy buyers.

I am a member of both the British and North of England Dalmatian Clubs. I am also District Representative for South Wales and Hereford, working closely with Dalmatian Welfare, helping to rehome  many unwanted Dalmatians. As well as exhibiting, I have recently started judging the breed at dog shows.

Dalmatians have totally taken over my life. I love them with a passion; they give such unconditional love, but are not the right breed for everyone. But be warned, once they have taken over your life, one just isn't enough!!
