Optic 2000 Rallye Tunisia...In 1998 as preparation for the Dakar Rallye, Ray competed in what is widely recognised as the warm up for Pari-Dakar. The Optic 2000 Rallye,which started in nice then on a boat to the port of Puerto Torres in Sardinia for two days, covering over 800km of hard mountainous paths. Then back to catch the boat to take to Tunisia and then riding into the heart of the Sahara desert to cover 3000 more kilometers. There were 212 entrants of which 100 finished. Ray finished 54 overall and was 5th in his class..jpg) | |
