ay De-haan started riding motorcycles at the age of twelve on a Honda XR75 and was soon recognised as an up and coming star on the schoolboy Moto-cross circuit.
This lead to the racetrack, riding production road bikes nation-wide on tracks such as Silverstone and Brands Hatch , collecting an armful of trophies. At the same time Ray was working full time in London as a motorcycle courier, gaining experience from the unforeseen perils of the London rush hour.
After conquering all aspects of motorcycle riding including trials and enduro, and having spent years showing off with his friends, Ray ventured into the film world intending to combine his love of motor cycles with acting.
After three years training Ray was accepted to join the British Equity Stunt Register, and began his film career in the Crying Game! In 1991. He has worked on all the major BBC and ITV dramas, involved in many of the motorcycle stunts see on TV today.
This has lead onto parts in Titanic, the new star wars prequel, mission impossible, and Judge Dredd, Ray also performed the bike stunt in the opening sequence to Golden eye and taught Pierce Brosnon to ride a motorbike in tomorrow never dies. He is currently working on the new bond film The world is not enough.
