benefitcheck.co.uk is a service created by Lee Healey, a welfare benefits specialist with over 14 years experience in the advice sector.
The service is delivered through Lee's well established company LH Training & Consultancy, which provides a number of services, including welfare benefits expertise, benefit checks, benefits training, qualification consultancy, projects for young people in music & sport and A1 NVQ assessing.
As well as the Director of LHTC, Lee is Welfare Benefits Advice Team manager with leading London Charity DABD (UK) and also writes his own 'benefits doctor' column in national newspaper 'The Mature Times'.
Lee says, "it is well known that a lot of money goes unclaimed every year by those who really need it most and this isn't surprising given the level of complexity of the benefits system in the UK.
We also know that there is a wealth of support out there - from DWP departments such as Jobcentre Plus and the Pension Service to independent advice services, such as DABD as well as internet sites and online calculators, yet still millions of pounds goes unclaimed, and millions more people do not understand their entitlement.
For many years I have firmly believed that the answer to that elusive question 'what am I entitled to?' lies with an expert, independent benefits advisor providing a free, confidential benefit check. My unique benefit check service will, I hope, help address the issue of understanding benefit entitlement in the UK"

Our advisors are experienced benefits advisors with extensive benefits and tax credit knowledge. They DO NOT use any software during a benefit check.

We aim to ensure that after a benefit check, people gain access to help and support from local services. This will include local advice services and government departments (i.e. DWP). We also continue to provide support and remote coaching until you are getting everthing you are entitled to.
