THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

"The only thing needed for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing" -Edmund Burke (1729-1797).
Yahweh says, "For I am the Eternal, I CHANGE NOT, therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed" (Malachi 3:6).
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever" (Heb. 13:8).
There is nothing wrong with the Ten Commandments, for the apostle Paul said, "Wherefore, the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just and good" (Romans 7:12).
God does not allow men to decide what sin is, but whether to sin..... 1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Jub 2:33days. This law and testimony was given to the children of Israel as a law for ever unto their generations
Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; Exo 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Exo 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exo 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Exo 20:13 Thou shalt not kill. Exo 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. Exo 20:15 Thou shalt not steal. Exo 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Exo 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Jub 23:19 And they shall strive one with another, the young with the old, and the old with the young, the poor with the rich, the lowly with the great, and the beggar with the prince, on account of the law and the covenant; for they have forgotten commandment, and covenant, and feasts, and months, and Sabbaths, and jubilees, and all judgments.
When you think carefully about this, you have to realize that there is no commandment of God, considered alone, that is impossible to keep. Why would God give us a law we couldn't keep and then punish us for not keeping it? And the benefits for living the sinless life are enormous.
When any human being breaks the laws God set in motion, he automatically deprives himself of blessings. When any human being obeys the laws God set in motion he automatically recieves blessings. Deu 28:1 And it will be, if you shall listen carefully to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments which I command you today, Jehovah your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth. Deu 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on you and overtake you, if you will listen to the voice of Jehovah your God. Deu 28:3 You shall be blessed in the city, and be blessed in the field. Deu 28:15 And it shall be, if you will not listen to the voice of Jehovah your God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, all these curses shall come on you and overtake you. Deu 28:16 You shall be cursed in the city, and cursed in the field.
In the early church, the day one worshipped on showed whose ones god was....
Law and Grace by Ronald L. Dart
1st Commandment Is there anything "wrong" for a Christian to engage only in monotheism, not bowing down to pagan deities? Idolatry is anything which gets between you and the true God. If you are yearning desperately for some particular goal in life other than the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then you have placed this temporal goal between you and God and unknowingly quilty of the sin of idolatry.
Sib 3:265But on these also evil will come, and they will not escape Pestilence. And you will surely flee, leaving the very beautiful Temple, since it is your fate to leave the holy plain. You will be led to the Assyrians and you will see Innocent children and wives in slavery Sib 3:270To hostile men. All means of livelihood and wealth will perish. The whole earth will be filled with you and every sea. Everyone will be offended at your customs. Your whole land will be desolate; your fortified altar And temple of the great God and long walls Sib 3:275Will all fall to the ground, because you did not obey in your heart The holy law of the immortal God, but in error You worshipped unseemly idols and you did not fear The immortal Begetter of gods and of all men But were not willing to honor him. But you honored the idols of mortals.

2nd Commandment From the ancient Egyptians comes a wealth of pagan idolatry in the form of obelisks, temples, bas-reliefs, icons, statuaries, and idols. Ancient temples and idols depicted the "host of the heavens", which God directly commands is not to be worshipped, as the "gods" of the ancient Babylonians, Assyrians and other nations. Frequently, the appearance of "cherubim" was graven by the hand of man on the walls and entrances of palaces of kings. The famous "winged bulls of Bashan" and the man-headed, eagle; winged, lionlike bodies with oxen's feet that decorated the entrance to Sargon's palace and the palaces of Asshur-bannipal and Asher-nasirpal. One of the greatest controversies of all history, which split the ancient Roman Catholic Chruch right down the middle and formed the Greek Orthodox Church; was the argument over the efficacy of Idols, meaning a separate statuary and sculptures of "saints", as opposed to Icons. The Second Commandment tells us that "images' were not to be made for the purpose of worship!
Jub 22:22 And as for all the worshippers of idols and the profane (b) There shall be no hope for them in the land of the living; (c) And there shall be no remembrance of them on the earth; (c) For they shall descend into Sheol, (d) And into the place of condemnation shall they go,
As the children of Sodom were taken away from the earth
Law and the Second Commandment
3rd Commandment It is quite commonplace to hear many people freely using the names of God and the Messiah in profanity and swearing. A name serves to identify the one to whom you are speaking, Ideally names should convey meaning. Yashua showed that religious people oftentimes profane the name of Yahweh by vain repetition. Matt 6:5-7 And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, They have their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your room. And shutting your door, pray to your Father in secret; and your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. But when you pray, do not babble vain words, as the nations. For they think that in their much speaking they shall be heard.
Law and the Third Commandment
4th Commandment There are endless arguments against the observance of the seventh-day sabbath. The concept that Christ died to free us from the requirement of the law; that the "dispensation of grace" does away with the responsibility to keep God's laws; that being "under Grace" means we do not have to obey the law; that Christians observe Sunday in honor of Christ's resurrection; that the Sabbath was purely a "Jewish" and a "ceremonial" requirement imposed upon ancient Israelites and is not of "New Testament" origin. The fourth commandment is the great test commandment. It is the one over which people tend to stumble; the one they resent; argue against and use every conceivable form of human reason to "get around". The ten commandments did not come into existence at the giving of the Decalogue; they were codified in stone, but they had been in full force and effect from the moment of creation, when God made the holy sabbath day! Ex 31:12-17And Jehovah spoke to Moses saying, Speak also to the sons of Israel, saying, Truly you shall keep My sabbaths. For it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I am Jehovah who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone that defiles it shall surely be put to death. For whoever does any work in it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done, but on the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to Jehovah. Whoever does any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Therefore the sons of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for an everlasting covenant. It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever. For in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested, and was refreshed.
God intended the Sabbath to be a perpetual covenant, a perpetual sign, between the Creator God and His people forever. The seventh day Sabbath was a permanent part of the creation itself, and not a temporary "ritual" enforced upon man for a certain "dispensation" meant to be abrogated at a later date. Almighty God insists not only His weekly Sabbath, but His annual Sabbaths as well are going to be kept in the millennium! Zech 14:16-19 And it shall be, everyone who is left of all the nations which came up against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be, whoever will not come up from all the families of the earth to Jerusalem to worship the King, Jehovah of Hosts, even on them shall be no rain. And if the family of Egypt does not go up, nor come in, they shall have no rain, but the plague with which Jehovah shall strike the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. This shall be Egypt's offense, and the offense of all the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
Isa 66:23And it will be, from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, all flesh will come to worship before Me, says Jehovah.
Mark 2:27And He said to them, The sabbath came into being for man's sake, and not man for the sabbath's sake. (sabbath made for man...Yashua is never called the Lord of "Sunday" but is called "Lord of the Sabbath"! Which day in the Bible; is the true Lord's day? The only answer is "The Sabbath!")
As a result of imperial edicts handed down by a sunworshiper named Constatine, early Christians were commanded not to "Judaize" by retaining their observance of the seventh-day Sabbath, or their keeping of the Passover on the 14th of Nisan! At the councils of Nicaea and Laodicea in the 300s AD, the growing universal church laid down laws to its adherents that they were to no longer "Judaize" by observing the seventh-day sabbath. Since countless numbers of pagans had brought their observance of the day of the sun along with them into the "Christian" church (the great visible church which was no apostate!) it was decided to settle the controversy that was raging among the menbership in the Eastern Mediterranean and settle upon one day of the week for religious observance. Actually, the early New Testament church never questioned the observance of the Sabbath! For nearly 4 1/2 centuries that observance continued! It was not until 325 AD that imperial edicts began to be imposed upon some who insisted on obeying God by observing the Sabbath. Finally, much of Sabbath observance was stamped out! The Roman Catholic hierachy freely admits that Sunday, is the day of worship for modern Christians, and was a day determined by the pope! Catholics smile knowingly at Protestant attempts to "prove" their Sunday observance from the Bible. After all, Catholics do not hold the Bible alone as their authority. The Catholics look upon the pope when he speaks as equal or even superior to Scripture,- for they claim he is infallible!
Heb 4 Here, the Sabbath day "rest" is being pictured as a type of the millennium, as a shadow of that which is to come, as well as a remembrance of creation.
There have always been small bodies of Sabbath- keeping believers who retained the true sign of God's true church, and have understood the basic truths of the Bible, and who represented the scattered, "little flock" which is the true body of Christ! Luk 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they who do His commandments, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and they may enter in by the gates into the city.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (The end-time remnant of the church, terribly persecuted of Satan, almost wiped off the face of the earth, yet preserved and protected of God is described as "...the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Yahshua")
Isa 56:2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it; keeping the sabbath, from defiling it; and keeping his hand from doing any evil. Isa 58:13-14If you turn your foot because of the Sabbath, from doing what you please on My holy days, and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy of Jehovah, honorable; and shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words, then you shall delight yourself in Jehovah; and I will cause you to ride on the high places of the earth, and feed yourself with the inheritance of Jacob your father. For the mouth of Jehovah has spoken. Law and the Fourth Commandment
