INTRODUCTION
.
The Central Midweek Bowling League (CMBL) is an association of 21 outdoor flat green bowling Clubs in the mid-Essex area and it runs a friendly but competitive outdoor bowls league.
The Association was founded in 1968 and over the years has expanded to its present size in 2011 of 48 teams from the 21 Clubs forming six Divisions catering for men and lady bowlers.
Throughout the summer the League arranges matches on Tuesday evenings which consist of two four bowler rinks per match.
There are annual singles and pairs competitions together with team knockout competitions culminating in the League's "Finals Day" which is held at the Association's President's club.
