The band is based in Dundee, Scotland and was formed in November 1996.

The band rehearses on a Wednesday night from 7:30-9:30pm in Dundee West Church, Perth Road, Dundee.

City of Discovery Brass Band would like to acknowledge the generosity of the Scottish Arts Council who recently awarded the band a grant of £4799.00 through its Awards For All scheme. The band is extremely grateful for this award and has used the funds to purchase some much needed intruments.
