ur latest news will be posted here
November, 2006 John, Valerie and the Bookends cats have moved to Ashburnham, Nr Battle. This is only about 9 miles from our previous home in Hailsham. Hailsham will still be very much part of our lives as we are still running the grocery store there and have many friends there too. We feel very lucky to now live in a wonderful country location in a quaint country cottage. Lots of work to do over the next few years but we hope to enjoy the country life with our cats. Our new location and phone number are on the contact page of this website and our email addresses remain the same.
Every season our view looks different!
May 2007 We have now had an electronic Petfence fitted and our neuter cats can go outside with their special collars on. It is early days yet but they got on well, they are learning where they can go in the garden(cats seem to be very quick learners), they have been enjoying the sunny days. No one has escaped and we are gaining confidence in trusting the system. We can highly recommend Maurice Goor of Petfence Ltd. who came and fitted the system and offered us excellent advice on training the cats. Physical barriers can run into thousands of pounds and this system was a fraction of this. http://www.petfenceltd.co.uk/
November, 2007 At Stud - we are now delighted to have Gingerbread Augustmoon at stud. He is a lovely lilac Point Siamese with a fabulous pure 24 pedigree. Sadly Di Clarke of Applejack cats has had to retire from breeding cats and she has kindly allowed Moony to come and live with us. He has been here since June and settled in really well, we have built up a good relationship and he is very happy in his new quarters. I mainly have Moony here for use with my own cats but I am also quite happy to accept Felv and FIV negative queens hoping that he will add to the available studs in our location. Moony is siring chunky kittens with wonderful dispositions. Please see further details on the AT STUD page of this website
2008 2 female Oriental Shorthair kittens have joined our family as potential breeding queens. They are Nutrostar Aprilmoon (Black Tortie) and Nutrostar Secretlove (Black). Thank you to Lily Partridge for these two lovely girls who have settled into our family well.

A Cat's Bedtime Prayer Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray this cushy life to keep. I pray for toys that look like mice, and sofa cushions, soft and nice. For grocery bags where I can hide, just like a tiger, crouched inside! I pray for gourmet Kitty snacks, and someone nice to scratch my back. For window sills all warm and bright, for shadows to explore at night. I pray I'll always stay real cool, and keep the secret feline rule. To NEVER tell a human that.... the world is really ruled by CATS! o O o
This may be a cute little picture but PLEASE don't let your cats go out after dark, this is a time of great danger for cats when accidents, losses and fights (which lead to fatal diseases) can occur! |
