e have always had a house full of pets. Our children have had hamsters, rats, ducks, turtles and rabbits as well as cats and dogs. I believe it helped them to grow into much nicer adults, that they always undersood how to love and care for other living creatures. Now they are grown up they all have their own cats.

When we were first married we had a cocker spaniel and soon we were besotted with them and had another and I started the Trulana line which I continued for around 20 years. As life got busier I decided I could not give enough time to this hobby and we kept our last dog until she died of old age at 19. During this time we always had cats and the three children each had a cat they had a special relationship with.

It was our youngest son Tim who started us off with Siamese. He asked if he could have a cat of his own when he was 7 and chose a Siamese called Matty. This cat was a wonderful companion for him, sleeping with him every night and following him around, he was such a lovely temperament and quite different from the other cats we had.
By the time Matty's life came to an end, Tim was at university, Matty became my best friend and I was heartbroken at his loss. So of course I had to have more Siamese - and well one thing lead to another!
