A reader writes, "I had a date today. She was not on the rebound. Can I have your analysis on this please (I am not good at reading body language)? We chatted all evening, and there were no awkward silences. I tried to give her a kiss at the end of the evening and she turned her head. So, I gave her a kiss on the cheek. I received a text message as soon as I got home saying, ‘Thank you for a lovely time and for dinner, I'll speak to you soon’. Does this sound promising?"
 
 

Some women will tell you, "I don't kiss on the first date". However, that's not natural behavior. If she says that, she is either giving you an excuse because she does not like you, or it really is true, and she has a rule about not kissing on the first date. If it is a rule, it's a bad one. Most happy couples kiss within the first three dates, and the majority of those first kisses happen on the first date.

What's worse is that she rejected you by turning her cheek. If you continue to date this girl, she will not respect you, and love is tied to respect. What self-respecting man would go back to a woman who has acted as if she didn’t like him? She can only love you to the point she can respect you.

If she has rules about love, she has built a wall around her emotions. If she has a wall up, would she be capable of letting love into her heart when the opportunity presents itself, when a man comes along that she would otherwise be attracted to, would she be capable of love? One thing is for sure, not this time, it's not a match. Whether they are nineteen or fifty-nine, women who like you and are uninhibited enjoy the first step of physical intimacy, the first kiss, and they will kiss you on the first date. If the girl liked you and was uninhibited, she would kiss you because she would be afraid of loosing you if she did not, and simply because she wants to kiss you. It’s not rocket science!

I can almost hear people’s cries, “Oh, give the girl another chance!” Yet, the point is that he should naturally be turned off by her rejection of the kiss. He did give her a chance. Gentlemen, you have to develop a backbone.

There are other fish in the sea, women who are uninhibited and are capable of falling deeply in love with a man. Good women who are deeply in love with their men do it better. If you find one of these healthy ladies, you will never go back to anything else!
