Welcome to our website.

We are Louise, Declan and Callum Clement and would like to introduce ourselves to you and thought this page would be a great way of doing so.

We are situated in Lancashire, known as the 'Gateway to the Lakes'. We actually live in a small Market Town known as Longridge, which is reknowned as being 'All of Lancashire in a Square Mile' and is set in the beautiful Ribble Valley, surrounded by Fells, Rivers, Woodland and open Countryside!

After being brought up with Golden Retrievers and their patient, laid back nature, I acquired my first Dalmatian 20 years ago. Abbi was a fantastic introduction to the breed, a typical Dalmatian clown, she finally 'grew up' when she was ten! After living with Abbi, I was well and truely hooked on Dalmatians. When the time was right I had Sally and Phoebe, and the rest, as they say, is history! Sadly, I lost Sally in 2004, very unnexpected and sudden, when I thought we had many more years to share. She taught me such a lot in life, the most important being .. life is too short, live it to the full day by day, do the best you can each day for yourself and others, and don't dwell on the past or worry about things we cannot change, work towards a better future and what will be will be.

I did a little showing before my children, Declan and Callum came along, after which we put things on hold for a while, but soon got back into it once Callum was old enough, and of course Callum now enjoys Agility and Handling with the dogs too and is very much involved with everything 'Caldecacre'.

2006 brought unnexpected changes to our family circumstances. But as a sign of things to come, the very weekend that things looked so bleak, turned out to be one of the best in my life! An amazing sense of pride to see Caldecacre Cordeiro Tajada (Luca - owned by Tim and Sara Green and family) become Best Junior Dog at Crufts 2006 ... and we haven't looked back since then, going from strength to strength, with some fantastic achievements, experiences, and some of my best friendships made.

2007 saw the return of the Caldecacres in the showring, and what a year we had .. every dog in the show ring that we had bred for others Qualified for Crufts, with some fantastic placings in the showring. We also saw Caldecacre Cwite Contrary (Daisy) become Bronze Road Dog at the Carriage Dog Trials. 2007 also saw our first Hamiltonstovare puppy join our family, and Callum really enjoyed showing Miss Hixie that year, especially at Crufts. Boo (and later Carrera) became the 'Face' of Russell Hobbs, another very proud moment!

Things have continued to be great, some highlights ..  2008 brought with it a new addition from overseas, after years of waiting, my first 'Norwegian Brownie' was destined for the UK, Blinken (Perdita's Right as Rain at Caldecacre), so many dreams come true for me. I imported him because I simply fell in love with the 'type' over in Norway, Sweden and Finland, and after careful research decided on the lines I wanted in the hope to incorporate this 'type' into my own breeding plans for the future.

2009 saw Caldecacre Chanterelle, and Caldecacre Celsie (Ella and Celsie - owned by John Davies and Josi Kaal) represent CaniX at Crufts, as well as the other Caldecacres flying the team flag in the show rings, not least Caldecacre Couronne (Charm - owned by Mat and Julie Cooper) gaining her first Reserve CC and Stud Book number. More great results at the Carriage Dog Trials for Caldecacre Cwite Contrary at Pjasdals (Daisy - owned by Julie Swindells) and her progeny. Plus a wonderful moment for Callum, becoming Best Junior Handler at Dalmatian Club of Scotland!!

We also had some fantastic trips away with Team Caldecacre, made possible because of the addition of our brilliant new customised van, meaning all the Caldecacres can come away with us in comfort. One of these such trips saw 20 Caldecacres and their families meet up camping for the weekend in Wales, where everyone had a great time! Many more of these get togethers since and for the future :)

The second of my 'Norwegian Brownies', Perdita's Another Chance for Caldecacre, Selma flew accross to the UK early 2010, and has settled in very well. I feel so lucky to have not one but two 'Perditas' in my family. Crufts this year saw Team Caldecacre having lots of fun in the show ring and also Team Schunikka (Caldecacre Celsie and her partner Sandy) achieve Bronze in their CaniX race there!

Caldecacre is now very proudly behind some lovely up and coming new kennel names, providing the foundation bitches for Pjasdals (Julie Swindells), Schunikka (John Davies and Josie Kaal), Popspride (Amy Cauldwell), Charmindals (Mat and Julie Cooper), Dalfamau (Trina Navarro), Natomols (Paul Hughs) and Ravensfire (Kay Upton).

2010 is an exciting year for us and will see the 'Next Generation' arrive at three of the kennels listed above, our own exciting litter plans too, and also Blinken will be used at Stud here in the UK and for two VERY exciting litters abroad !!

More personally, Declan is now a Chef. Callum will move up to High School this year, after doing so well at Primary School with achievements such as excellent grades, being appointed as School Counciller, and representing the school and Country in World Maths Day, not to mention his sports achievements in Football and Rugby. I continue to be a Nurse in my spare time ;-)

I hope this has helped introduce you to who we are as a family, Caldecacre is not just a kennel name, but a fundamental part of our daily, family lives. We have made friendships all over the World through Caldecacre. We now know and love people we would have never met, been to places we would have never visited, and been given opportunities we would have never had ... we don't simply adore our dogs as much as they adore us, but we would not be the people we are without them in our lives ... which is why, thanks to the Crazy Caldecacres we are ... AsDottyAsOurSpotties ..... and wouldn't have it any other way!
