Selma...
Selma is a lovely liver spotted bitch, the second of my 'Norwegian Brownies' (as I call them) bred by Kari Ditlefsen, Kennel Perditas, in Norway. I am thrilled to have been offered Selma, such a fantastic opportunity, and of course I jumped at the chance of having her after being smitten with Blinken, who is of course from Kennel Perdita's too. Selma flew into Manchester at the end of January. Just like her cousin, Blinken, she has a wonderful temperament, always smiling and playing, and has settled in really well with us all. She loves everyone she meets, and won over many peoples' affections at a recent outing to the Joint Clubs Show, where she was more than happy to introduce herself to everyone and everything, tail wagging and her big Dalmatian grin! She is phased by nothing, has a wonderful temperament, and has impeccable manners. Thank You Kari! I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to have Selma, and to be entrusted with her future. She is a very special girly indeed. Selma has a fantastic pedigree combining some of my most favourite dogs, and with both her and Blinken I am looking forward to some exciting combinations in the future, with a hope to continuing and incorporating this fantastic 'type' into my breeding program. Selma has done very well in the showring in Norway and has gained 3 CCs there, her strongest feature being her powerful, long striding, effortless movement. She has only been shown lightly here in the UK, but has done very well and has won her KC Stud Book Number, meaning she is now Qualified for Crufts for life :) . Selma has a natural love of agility and jumps like a cat with great speed! Selma had a fantastic litter of puppies in 2011 sired by the gorgeous boy; Mountsorrel Crescendo of Shydally (Shiloh), all 8 puppies are very typy and I am very pleased with them all. I have kept Potter (Caldecacre Shiver M'Timbers), his brother Zem (Caldecacre Sharknozemolo) will be trained in Tracking and Agilty and both have already Qualified for Crufts 2013! One of his sisters is now living in Germany at Kennel 'de Los Perros Santos' and was Best Puppy in Breed at her first show. Two more sisters will be shown here in the UK and are maturing wonderfully, Indie (Caldecacre Sea the Stars with Shydally) and Daisy (Caldecacre Swab the Decks).
