DalmatiAn Poem

When Declan was only 10 years old he was asked to do a project for school, he chose to write about Dalmatians.

In his project he included this poem he had written.

------

O to live with a Dalmatian, how much fun,
O to watch him run and run ... and run,
O to see him playing in the sun,
O the trouble he gets in ... and then some!

O the chewed corners in every room,
O I remember when new teeth loomed!
O nothing was safe - old or new,
O when he wanted, he would chew ... and chew!!

O he is older now and still a clown,
O nothing seems to get him down,
O he's always smiling, never a frown,
O he's just great fun to be around.

O look at his coat and how striking he is,
O his lovely dark spots that no-one could miss,
O for a whiter coat, he could not wish.
O such melting eyes, full of promise.

O and whilst I write about all these 'O' s,
I must stress the spelling, I suppose,
Dals are crammed with character, but I must mention..
There are 'A' s but no 'O' s in a DalmatiAn!!
