John Bullock was a joyous spirit who loved life so much he reincarnated many times and ...

...believed he was over 800 years old. He carried in his heart the spirit of Chief Joseph.

Bullock lived in Last Chance Canyon, taking over the Gerbach Camp (or Bent Nail Camp) from Della The Queen of the El Pasos, a gun-slinging in her own right, and a story for another page.

Bullock was Walt Bickel's neighbor and good friend. He could hypnotize people and "regress" them to former lives. I actually let him do this to me (it was the early 70's), and it was an incredible experience. I actually saw former lives and wives, or at least believed I did. John knew a great deal about medicinal plants and made a mixtures of desert herbs for a variety of uses.

When John was well over 70, I took a VW bus load free-thinking Hippies up to see 35 mm slides at the cabin John shared with Mark, a mining partner. John and Mark had a power generator and, before it was destroyed by BLM, a clean block cabin.

There was a beautiful young red-headed girl among the friends I took to Bullock's that night. She was in her early 20's and fell in love with John Bullock. They were married a few weeks from that meeting. They had a daughter, Amber (believe it or not but circa 1972, Amber was a unique name). This child was actually born in the cabin, had amber-colored hair and actually had a golden glow. The family lived in the canyon for years until John's Death.

Finally I know Jenny and Amber are out there someplace and my John Bullock facts are from memory. I welcome corrections from anyone who knows better.
