Bickel shown here on one of my last visits with him at a
Victorville hospital.
This is Bickel's service on Sandy's Mesa where his ashes
were scattered.
Soon after Bickel left Bickel Camp he spent time in the
Vetrans Hospital in Los Angeles. I shown visiting with
him there in 1988.

Hiking in the El Paso Mountains with Bickel was a workout. It was as if he knew every inch of the territory. He's shown here on one of the mesas at the bas of Black Mountain. Near where he's standing a strange alignment of rocks begins and stretches for miles. This man-made rock alignment is a mystery, and possible had ceremonial uses.
Bickel is shown above with his cat Big Boy.
In the mid Seventies Eric Janson got married and Walt
Bickel was his best man. The leisure suits ruled the day.
It was also one of the most fun weddings I ever
photographed.
