Great source for all types of info: Texas State Electronic Library An online encyclopedia. Bartlett Could Be Fined For Water Problems The City of Bartlett could face fines for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for failing to take action on an ailing water pump. The pump on Bartlett's main water well is currently pumping about 50 gallons per minute rather than the 400 gallons per minute it should produce. A second well is producing about 180 gallons per minute. The TCEQ standards incidate Bartlett needs to be producing at least 400 per gallons per minutes. The city has not taken action apparently because the pump needs to be pulled from the main well and the do not know how long it will take to get fixed. In a meeting Feb 28, the Council finally voted to authorize the Mayor to take action.
