Pepper, as she was known to us, was one of the two sisters who were jointly responsible for the Barleyarch Kennel as it is known today. Unlike her sister, she was slower to mature and slighlty overshadowed by her precocious sister. However, following her first litter she blossomed and proved worth waiting for, gaining her Show title at the age of 4. Pepper was a gentle sort and proved to be a very reliable and steady worker. She was entered for her first Field Trial at the age of 8 years old, this one trial was all it took to gain the necessary award to give her the coveted title of Champion. Pepper lived to the ripe old age of 13 and a half years making a huge contribution to our kennel's future successes by producing our own Champion Barleyarch Platinum, dam of our famous dual purpose dog Champion Barleyarch Polka.
She had 3 litters and produced a number of super dogs for Barleyarch
