We are very excited to announce Show Champion Barleyarch Pixie JW, was mated to Show Champion & American Champion VJK-Myst Sterling of Barleyarch, and pups have been born at Christmas time 2010. This is Pixie's first litter and it is hoped that in combining these two lovely well bred dogs it will produce the quality and good temperament one expects from Barleyarch.

Both Parents are Hip Scored & Heart and Eye Tested clear

Pixie is a very feminine girl in every way, and whilst she is happy to be one of crew, ready to please anyone that needs accommodating, much to her pals' disappointment she flatly refuses to play tug of war such is her gentle ways. Visitors are treated to a smooch on the settee and rarely do they leave our home without wanting to take her with them. In the showring she is a consummate showgirl, being awarded Top GSP Puppy 2008, going on to win her 3 CCs & 7 Reserve CCs under both Breed judges and All-rounders. In the field you see her serious side, taking after her predecessor Champion Barleyarch Polka, an intense hunter, fast and stylish with a classic pointing style, but with a very biddable nature. Sterling hails all the way from United States. Having gained his American title on his 7 month birthday he was then not shown until he made his debut on the British show circuit at just under 1 year old, where he has certainly made his mark. To date, his awards include being a Eukanuba Contest of Champions finalist and 2^nd overall, together with 7 CCs, 3 Reserve CCs, a prestigious Gundog Group win, plus 3 & 4 Group placements, which has won him the coveted title of TOP GSP 2010. However, as we bought him to further our breeding programme, it is his character and breeding that is paramount, and suffice it to say, this matches and betters his successes in the ring so. A kind soul, eager to please, he has found his best buddy in Sh Ch Barleyarch Paxo; he is a very exuberant character and full of mischief and likes nothing more than pinching our unsuspecting visitors hairclips whilst disorientating them with lavish kisses! In the field he extremely fast, though not without a stop button surprisingly, he has a wonderful high head carriage whilst hunting and pointing and is a keen retriever and like Pixie loves to do it from both land and water. We are delighted to confirm Pixie had all her puppies by Christmas Day! She has had 6 boys and 2 Girls and both mum and babies are doing really well.
On the left, are when the babes are just 2 days old, to the right with proud mom, when they are a week old, now docked and dew clawed, and below they are 14 days old, their eyes now open and aware of sound, in fact if our older dogs bark, they very cutely sometimes join in with a baby puppy yodel!
