Mission Statement

Albion is a public service, not-for-profit biannual web-based magazine dedicated to investigating English identity, character and culture, and giving a voice to modern English people.  It is a forum for all English people, regardless of age, ethnic background, class, etc, where they can express themselves in an atmosphere of respect for their national identity and culture.  It seeks to address areas of concern to English people and interesting aspects of the culture that are not generally covered in the mainstream media.  Albion is a liberal magazine with a mandate to investigate and celebrate the positive aspects of  Englishness and English culture without ignoring areas that need improvement.  We hope to provide a meaningful magazine for English people who adhere to the notion of patriotism as "a lively sense of collective responsibility" (Richard Aldington).  Albion brings a holistic approach to Englishness and the place of the English person in today's world.
